Saw this on Facebook. Someone posted that they ran 15.35 in a 25 AWD Hybrid. The HF55 has made a huge difference, even with the AWD weight penalty over the 22-24 hybrids.

Does that really count if he redlit?

Hahaha, HRG
Actually not a red light. He left before the other car, but the other car shows -.429 weird that the minus is there, but I guess that's how that track does it.

Nice.

IDK if it's right any more with the new HF55 but it used to be that the electric drive motor didn't contribute anything over 75mph, which would be some reason for top end dropping off.

I've said it before, but as quick as the 25 Maverick hybrids AWD's are now, I don't know why anyone would buy the 2.0L, unless you had to have a Lobo or Tremor, or maybe you wanted something you could really hop up.
I love mine and it's loaded down with tools. I've owned some really fast cars in the past, but this truck is very satisfying in the driving and accelerating department. It might not have the raw power of my old (and souped up) Thunderbird Super Coupe, but the fact that it can accelerate so fast from a stop while turning or on a less than perfect surfaces makes up for it, especially in real world daily driving. I've seen 6.7 second 0-60 time reported by car magazines (and I believe it). Those times are better than many of the V8 muscle cars from the 80 and 90s.

That's NOT the case in a 2022 Hybrid so....

... it was never right.

Ok - I want to see the numbers on pushing the limit of the ..... EV only.
Actually a pair of hybrids racing would be interesting.

Show up with HVB at 70%.
Perhaps figure out how to get the truck to give that extra power available, and attempt that nothing but 15-10% power in EV mode only.

Challenge to toe the line without slipping over to hybrid - race of skill and nerves.
In an entirely different way.
Sweating it out at 35 mph!

Spend $6000 more over the lifetime of the engine.... get there 0.1 second faster.

Meh.
🤷🏻‍♂️
We’re talking bragging rights.

Bragging Rights = Priceless :)

I would have to trade in my Lobo for a Ford Performance 300H Hybrid…
300 combined HP would smoke the Ford Performance 300T EB.

Ford offers the HF55 hybrid transmission behind a 2.0 EB in the Lincoln Nautilus hybrid and it has 310HP.

I have a hybrid, but recognize that some people want more speed (5.8 sec 0-60 & 14.5 sec 1/4 mile at 95 mph is quite a bit faster), or if someone hauls/carries a lot then the additional power can definitely be beneficial. As they say, options are good.

Now that’s what I’m talking about! Drop that drivetrain in a Ford Performance 310H package for the Maverick Hybrid.

Hopefully not $90,000 like the Lincoln though.
