With all due respect you should have no more right to tell me I have to have a hybrid as I do to tell you, you cannot have one.:handshake:
And I don't. This thread is about the standard ICE start/stop feature. If you own a hybrid, you don't have to contend with that at all... I should note...
I have to believe that I am not the only one happy to see this ridiculous "feature" repealed going forward.
Auto stop/start was NEVER a government mandate in the US, that's just been a certain type of media talking point. The government mandated a minimum fleet gas mileage standard and many...
Maybe @MarkLally could offer up some pointers on how he and his wife were able to rig up their Maverick and film that awesome video. It would be awesome if somehow using a GoPro could pinpoint where the noise is actually coming from but that might take multliple GoPro's to capture different...
I disconnected the wires on the heat exchanger, there is plenty of length and flex in the coolant hoses to not be an issue , but I do recall removing the push pins at the rear of the felt guard as not to let the hoses contact the guard. In addition to disconnecting all the middle are rear...
Like Carlitos_92 said, I would watch a video before attempting. I would not suggest trying to save time by only removing a few panels, it's a waste of time, remove everything on both sides and soundproof both speaker panels.
First, lift the door jam/ under seat panels by lifting strait up (very...
After removing the real speaker panels for the fifth time, I have finally solved my rear speaker rattle issue. There was no rattle with the stock speakers of course, but after installing a four channel amplifier (with powered sub-woofer), I was forced to turn down the rear balance to not...
Agreed, I should have taken a Sudafed that morning. Not likely I'll go through the trouble of making another video, but I too would like to know if slippery mode keeps it in AWD all the time.
Isn't the Lincoln Nautilus hybrid an Ecoboost 2.0 with the HF55 hybrid transmission? That could honestly be a scary powertrain if its FWD, scary not necessarily in a good way if someone custom remapped the PCU for max acceleration and bypassed the steering angle sensor input.
Someone posted a...
The AWD drive model has that 200lb weight difference mostly in the back, which on a truck is normally much biased towards the front. More weight in the back would allow the rear brakes to be able to clamp down harder without locking up the tires. This may explain the difference.
I've driven both the FWD and AWD 25 model hybrid Mavericks (and also owned a 23), and I can attest that both are notably quicker. I didn't drive the FWD model hard enough to determine if it was quicker than the AWD drive model though.
Nothing could be further from the truth. The difference is like night and day in everyday driving. The acceleration is so much more effortless in the 25 model. I have owned both and I know this for a fact. You can feel the difference at much less than half throttle also, and this is what...
None of the Mavericks drive bad and to the average person they drive just fine. The sway bars on both FWD and AWD are for people who want more than "just fine". If you're the type (like myself) who really enjoys throwing the vehicle into corners and having flat and neutral handling, then the...
Winter is a bad time to start driving a hybrid maverick. Cold weather takes a big toll on mileage.
By the time next spring gets here, your engine should be broken in and you will probable see a huge increase in gas mileage at that point.
