None of the above solutions for my truck. I started out buying 4 of the Amazon sourced Zonbeam brand 4257 WT21 LED rear turn signals/brake lights. These have a cooling fan, no resistor and advertise as No Hyper Flash.

All worked as advertised until they began to hyper flash 2 months later. HOWEVER, when this happened, I reinstalled the stock incandescent bulbs on the bottom left and right sides. Kept the Zonbeam bulbs on the top left and right sides. Voilà. Everything works again with no hyper flash. And no Forscan required. Evidently, there is enough electrical resistance coming from the stock bulbs, that the system cannot notice the change.

These Zonbeam bulbs have an advertised 2360 lumens of brightness with a 50,000 hour advertised lifespan (we will see about that). The top bulbs are noticeably brighter than the stock bulbs. Also are activated a fraction before the stock bulbs. I have had this set up for almost a year now.

The only side effect I notice is if the 4 way flashers are on for an extended period, the Zonbeam bulbs appear out of sequence with the stock bulbs. (Because they are activated a fraction of a second quicker). But I can live with that, because I very rarely have 4 way flashers on.

The important thing for me is to be seen, before a rear end collision occurs. As everyone knows, when these Maverick trucks have a fender bender, consider them TOTALED, due to the unibody.

I have a ‘22 Hot Pepper Red Lariat Maverick.

Well, I've jinxed myself now that I've shot my mouth off. :D
Nah! ;)

It's exactly as you said, the reverse lights are the least used of all of them, with the exception of possibly the bed lights.

Well the time has come. Bought July 2023 and installed right away. Been pushing my luck since then but recently 3 out of the 4 red tail lights are dead, and I think the white back ups might be dead too. I planned ahead and got the replacements but when I swapped them looks like they are already dead. The diode dynamics aren't cheap, like $50/pair. Any one just give up and get the Form lights?
Yep, They're nice
