True. I thought that was obvious.
What do you think the percentage of Ford Maverick owners have or can use FORSCAN? Just wondering.🤷‍♂️

Windows laptop, OBD dongle and ForScan app.

I never thought about it. If you can't do FORSCAN, you still have the resistor option. FORSCAN is the best option, and I would suspect that the majority of Maverick owners have a laptop that will run it. Add a $30 dongle, download the free software and you have everything you need.

I'm not one of those with a laptop or PC. Dell was the last laptop I had, before it was shredded was running Windows Vista. 🤣
I also don't like the idea of Russian software. That's just a personal preference.

Too bad you shredded it. FORSCAN is simple software with very good platform support.

From the FORSCAN website:

Yep same! One of my Lasfit cargo light bulbs failed in the last week. Lasted about 1.5 years.

 I don’t remember when I installed them, but I’ve got one of my cargo lights going out now also.

My switchbacks are still going, got them cheap from a former mav owner. Bought the cab lights and they only lasted a couple months. Won’t be buying lasfit again.

I installed three Lasfit bulbs above the cab. I purchased and installed them about 50 weeks ago. I just checked and found that one bulb failed completely, one was on fast blink mode, and I have no easy way to assess the third bulb which was installed as the brake light. I assume the third bulb has failed as well.

I contacted Lasfit and their product support was quite responsive. I told them that I believe they should reach out to their customers who installed in Mavericks because it is dangerous to drive around with failed bulbs.

I have now reinstalled the OEM bulbs which are dimmer but they work.

I want to reiterate that Lasfit customer support was very good.

That is kind of why I started this thread, to get the word out for the brake lights.

This is the best reason to switch to LED taillights. Many people think it's for increased brightness, but stock taillights are plenty bright. Updating to LEDs gives a full car length advantage in reaction time at highway speeds.
And my Lasfits did exactly that. I would have been rear ended once otherwise. From that perspective they were worth the money and did what I intended them to do.

However, after a year and a half, one of my replacements, for the older versions, quit working. In all I had to replace the tails 3 times, at no cost to me for the replacement LEDs.

Replacing the retainers is costly, and getting old.
I went back to the OEM bulbs in the tails.

The bed light LEDs went dead twice so I went back to stock on those as well.

I would suggest these if you want to go back to the advantages of LED and have great reliability: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01A77RU5I?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_2

They have a lifetime warranty, excellent heat management and are made in Italy by OSRAM. You will have to remove the small tabs on the side of the white connector with a file or dremel, but then they will fit the Maverick perfectly.

Bummer, I was considering adding Lasfit backup leds but guess I will hold on that. I hate how dim the factory backups are.

Did you have to have the "load equalizer" they suggest on the Amazon site?

😁 I’ve had the backups in my since early 2022, no problems. Now is to the brake lights, I won’t say anything.

I used FORScan to disable the bulb outage warning (hyperflash), so I didn't need resistors.
