If you noticed my profile, it shows my 24 Maverick Lariat (bought it new & I've had it for over 2 years), so.... I'm not waiting for anything. Funny how fanboys love a brand.
Okay, I could care less if Ford has "cornered the market" That just means they probably wont improve the Maverick much & as far as I'm concerned, the more competition, the better it is for the consumer. I'm not loyal to a brand and if Toyota makes a better truck at a better price, I'm all for it.
I haven't really found this in my own personal experience. I've owned my Maverick for over a year & a half with 20k miles with 1 update to the computer (no other issues yet).
Thanks! that would be a nice added feature that I would wait for. I imagine if you had this you may not learn how to backup a trailer if you didn't already know how to.
Nice writeup on your AWD Hybrid Maverick! I have a 24 Lariat AWD 4k Ecoboost that has over 12,000 miles on it and I really can't complain about much. Do the 25 AWD Hybrids come with the pro trailer backup assist feature or was that not added?
That Stitched leather interior isn't standard on the Colorado or the Tacoma. You're going to pay quite a bit extra for it if it's even available on lower trim models. I agree the Maverick should have better interior plastic on at least the Lariat trim.
It's a little pricy but I prefer the wheels & interior and outside badging much more than the standard non BAP alternative (not sure about the 25 BAP). Changing out the wheels alone with an aftermarket option is also not cheap for a good looking set.
I have the rear power slider window on my 24 Lariat and I use it all of the time. Probably wouldn't as much if it wasn't a power slider. Without it open you get so much more noise (air flows through better) when you have one of the front windows down. When the weather is real good in the desert...
Dealers are just the mouthpiece of the manufacturer when it comes to service issues. If they're not forced to do a recall because of safety, they usually don't.
