If you get another warranty replacement - you will get an AGM.When i charge under hood i connect the negative cable to the oddball vertical post on the driver side inner fender. The G5 is not anywhere near a heat source. It usually goes to a solid green after a couple hours. that's how it goes with my suburban, as well. I can move the negative to a body ground this morning and see what happens. Thanks for the input. I'm not too worked up, i'm just starting to lean to an agm battery. we shouldn't have to jump and dance to keep these hybrid 12v batteries alive.
True on dealing with this.
You have plenty of drive time - you shouldn't be having issues anyway.
You probably have a bad battery sensor like I'm convinced I have.
The BMS system thinks it's equal on charging and discharging Ah's - but the fact it's a long drive fight to get past 57% SOC currently - proves it can't be.
Even self-discharge if it wasn't driven daily would not knock a 45 Ah battery down that bad.
Actually - my replacement bigger battery has no label about Ah, only 65 RC.
