So I don't have a Maverick yet, but those amber bulbs reflecting off the front blinkers or orange/amber even when off bothers me aesthetically. Figured I'd share this should be an option to fix that issue.

1) LED Option:

2) Chrome bulb option:

The proper size are the first ones, as factory are 4257NA, but you should be able to modify 3157s to fit in 4257.

That's interesting! I hadn't considered replacement turn signal bulbs. I think the second ones look much better than the OEM bulbs.

I have set from vleds. Their v6 extreme. Clear, led and about 1000lumens per bulb. Amazing
Damn $200 aint cheap! Would love to see pics/video.

Edit: Ah a lot of neat features, here's the slightly less bright/expensive V6 on a Ridgeline:

I believe by law the turn signals have to be amber in color. I may be wrong on this but was stopped in my buddies Jeep because he had white turn signals and they gave him a repair order notice to fix. You may want to check with your state to verify.

Nope, they just have to emit amber light when blinking. The bulb itself doesn't have to be amber colored so it reflects amber even when off. The switchbacks are on white when there's no blinker, and then flash amber only when blinker is engaged.

Turn signals are required to be amber in the front and either red or amber in the rear. Only light that can be white in the front is the headlights/drls/fog lights and in the rear the back-up lamps.

How exactly does changing the bulbs affect the look when the front blinkers are OFF?

Chrome off/amber light on or clear off LED/ amber light on turn signals allow for no orange/amber reflection in the turn signal housing for a much cleaner look. When they are activated they flash amber as per usual.

Exactly. To illustrate it, notice how you can see the orange bulb reflected from many angles even though its off? Yech!

Switchback not only should eliminate that reflection problem, but having it as a white DRL when the blinker isn't on is even nicer on non-Lariat trims, since they otherwise have no DRL at all.

While that V6 light option is killer, price wise I'd probably go with the first cheapo switchbacks first to see if its "good enough" since its 10x cheaper.

I had LED switchbacks in my F150, and they were a nice bright white color as running lights, then amber for turn & hazard. Plus if your light lens is clear, you don't see the amber colored bulb. Most of the LED switchbacks are silver colored.
