Replacement Tires - widest quietest recommendations?

Just wondering if anyone can provide some insight, experience or opinions on buying tires.
My Maverick is a 2022 Lariat, AWD, 2.0 Eco, 4K tow, and an FX4 pkg with 41,000 miles.
While the tires are marginal they are in reasonably good shape with visible tread and no signs of the "shoulders" of the tire being worn, but getting close to being replaced.
I'd like to get the widest tire possible, but this time around would like to get a "highway" tire promoting a quieter ride. The present tires that cam with the FX4 package are rather noisy at highway speeds, otherwise I was pleased with the wear at 41,000 miles. I don't know what others experienced with this type of tire and mileage.

The Tremor model comes with 235s and lots of people have used that size with the stock suspension height and rim offset. 245s are questionable, with some with square edges rubbing on hard lock and the more rounded ones being ok except that they are too close for areas that have snow buildup. If you put flairs on then a larger rim offset would give you more options and still fit without a lift. If you're willing to eat the CV joints with a lift, then maybe a little bit more is possible. A bigger tire footprint will obviously create more drag and more noise, so ymmv.

I have the same truck with 30k miles and put Nitto Nomad Grapplers. They give the truck a more aggressive look, don’t impact MPG substantially (1-2 MPG), ride quality is not sacrificed, and the road noise is very minimal. I do have a lift and went with a little bigger than stock (245/65r17) but tire size is completely up to you and your specific set up. I recommend looking at the Nitto Nomad Grapplers for consideration. Hope this helps and above all enjoy your Maverick

41k out of the stock tires. Wow. Great job. Same truck in a xlt. I went to a 245 from the 225 it came with. You loose a bit of gear. I noticed it towing the same route. Not a game changer. What I do like is the tiny bit more ground clearance. Doesn't seem like much but it was the difference in dragging bottom on a couple class 6 roads I travel and not dragging. Also the stock pirrellis suck in the snow and mud compared to a true AT or MT tire. A larger but more highway oriented tire might be something that would work well for you. Looks of a bigger tire but without comprised ride and noise.

I went with some nice wide tires one time and I learned my lesson. They had a high speed rating and gave a harsher ride, they were noisier and terrible in the wet and snow.

I just got some new Blizzaks (225) in the stock size on spare wheels and I'm very happy. they're only going to be on for 3 or 4 months but then it's back to the stockers till they wear out.

If it doesn't snow much here in Wisconsin/Illinois this winter it's my fault for getting snow tires.

Another vote for the Nitto Nomad Grapplers. I put them on and found them to be quiet, smooth riding, good handling, and are great in mud, snow, and off road. The perfect tire package for roads that may be good, bad, and ugly.

245/65/17 is the largest tire that generally accepted.
Some have gone wider and/or taller, but your fuel economy will take a bigge hit and you might run into issues with rubbing.

If you want a quiet highway ride, do NOT go for A/T tires.
It amazes me that so many people are so set on AT tires and probably never go off-road lol.
I do admit they look better, but since you asked for quiet highway tires, I'd personally steer clear since they are louder than tires designed for the road.

I am not as familiar with all the highway road tires, but I really like Michelin Defenders.
I was going to get the Defenders, but got Kumho Crugen HT51 because they were so much cheaper here in Canada. They look to be a copycat of the Defenders and it's almost as good, but a little noisier when the road is wet.
The Michelin CrossClimate are good all weather tires, but be warned they are noticeably louder than other all-season tires.

I did a bit of checking for tire replacements and went to 3 different tire companies and all said for quiet and smooth the best bet is the Michelin. Also searched on line and read that other tires are rated against the Michelin as the standard. I am very happy with mine and we can talk while going highway speed with the radio on. Run them on the Maverick and my wife's Buick. Bought the Buick new and put on the new tires at 1K miles. World of difference.

Love, love, love my Michelin Defender 2 tires.

I spent around $850 installed at our local Quick lane. That included a rebate for military service posted on the wall at the store. It helps to get more than one quote, as my local tire shop was $300 more expensive. I always like to start with a quote from Tire Rack for the tires delivered to my house. That gives me a reliable baseline to use when evaluating local quotes.
