Recall 25B34 : Radiator & Fan Replace - 2025 Maverick Lobo

Just received a phone message from my local ford dealer to schedule an appointment for “customer satisfaction” recall 25B34 Radiator & Fan replace.

Same with my feb built lobo, seems its going to be most of them. They put the wrong radiator and fan assembly. Was supposed to be the heavy duty like the tow package has.

Do the LOBO's use a different fan than the other 2025's with the 2.0 EB? Never mind it was explained in post 2. Looks like it's not fan problem but just the wrong fan installed.

Besides the larger 4K Radiator & Fan - the Lobo is supposed to also have the 4K Transmission Oil Cooler. Hopefully, that was installed.

I saw this when I was looking on my Ford profile the other day..and wondered why.

How did they even get it that wrong? (install wrong parts)
Supply issue? And they just sent it with the wrong but available parts instead? and didn't say anything, until they had the parts available?

I really don't look forward to having them pull my front end and all related parts off, and reinstall...and hopefully not make it worse...make a mess of something else, damage something along the way..waste my time without a vehicle for however many days/week it takes.
Who compensates me for such a big mess.

The “4K Tow Package” includes maybe a dozen main components & hundreds of parts. The Lobo only uses a couple of the main components (Radiator/Fan/TransCooler).

I agree with you that there was a parts shortage & decision made to “keep the line moving” with the available (standard) parts. I’m waiting for the other “customer satisfaction recall”shoe to drop eventually - the TransCooler components.

What a pain - but purchasing a first year model with an all new engine and drivetrain is now a risk unfortunately.

I’m going to ask my local dealer to send their Mobile Repair Truck to perform the switch. If they can’t, I’ll sit in the lobby/lounge for the hour or two it takes to do the switch. My retired nose pressed up against the service area glass when I’m not live posting pictures to this post

I think swapping out the radiator & fan will be minor surgery? Disconnect a few hoses, loosen a few bolts, swap, retighten & reconnect & refill.

We have until next August to get it done. I may wait until next July & get the fresh coolant then. Or combine the service with the next recall that will certainly come.

So, this is less a "recall" and more of an "oops" correction.

That's simple enough to confirm. Look for the cooling lines just below the upper radiator hose.
