The strap that you pull to pull the back seat back down on by lariat has fallen down into the seat back. Any suggestions on how to retrieve it or pull the seat back down

Do you have any long tweezers, needle nose pliers, or a hemostat? Other than grabbing it with one of those, I think you are headed to the dealership for some warranty work.

.....insert and go fishing?
Or maybe even an actual fishing hook with barb.....if they could snag it.....not going to come off and would be able to be pulled back out.

Recommend tweezers. Something similar happened to us, my 94 yr old Alzheimer's ridden grandma tied the end of an alarm clock cable into a knot, and threaded it deep into the seat buckle hole in the rear seat. We tried to pull the cable out for the longest time, but it kept getting stuck.

Having someone hold and spread the opening as wide as possible and fishing around with tweezers to get it unstuck and grab it did the job.

Thanks for the suggestions. I actually used a paint can opener and was able to snag it. No idea how it fell through the opening. Nothing stored behind the seat but a blanke. With the cold weather wanted access to it if necessary.

@Poorpop does the strap seem like it's going to stay in place now?

I would clip a carabiner thru the strap it it were me. Something larger than the hole so that it cannot disappear again.

Smart grandma!!! DO NOT USE A FISH HOOK!!! When it gets stuck, you will then be messing around the sharpest point known to man, and I can GUARANTEE the fish hook will find YOU before you find the strap.
