No, Im not holding the pull tab
Mine's doing the same thing I checked it out today and there is no reason why it's not latching It doesn't look like the seat goes back far enough to latch My son-in-law told me to bring it into his Ford dealership and he'll look at it I'll let you know what he finds out.

I cant figure out why the rear seat will not latch back. There are no obstructions and the pull cord returns when you pull it. It wont lock in place. Anyone else experience this?
I have the same issue. My dealer says Ford advises them to just replace the latch under warranty. Mine is going in next week.

OK, lean back.
This is a known issue with this vehicle.
To take it to a dealer for this - my God you're living a good life for this to be concern.

It’s not an issue with the latch it’s the rubber bumpers that the seat back is hitting against. Adjust or trim those down and you should be good. Think about how the rubber stops are on a hood that you can adjust to change the tension on the latch. Hope that helps

Mine was doing the same thing I did with the manual said how I finally fixed it was I followed another person's idea I just took the two screws out put two small washers behind the bolt screwed it back in and it latches fine now It only moved it out about a 16th of an inch and that's all it took.

All I did is took somebody else's recommendation put two small washers behind the screws and now it works just fine.
