Honestly this is my only apprehension moving from a Ridgeline. I can stack 4 large Rubbermaid bins in the back behind the seats, with the rear folded up and my front seat at normal position for a 6 foot guy. It is fricken awesome for camping and stuff when I don’t want to leave things in the bed at night. Was also amazing for moving. But my gas mileage is god awful, so we are still looking forward to the change.

I do kind of wish the battery wasn’t below the seat, so it was just flat on the bottom.
I’m also coming from a Ridgeline love the truck BUT price and gas mileage made me switch to the mav which I love but I do need to do something with the back seat

Good one for the 40/60 split

At first I wasn’t thrilled with the backseat since I always have my seats foldEd up in my F250 and down in my SUV. Then I pulled the armrest down and discovered it was perfect for stabilizing Koji‘s seat So I’m fine with it👍🏻

I wouldn't call it a "miss" at all.
My wife had a Honda Odyssey with some fancy articulating seats that we didn't need or want. Stuff like that is significantly heavier and contributes to the gross vehicle weight, affecting cargo capacity and fuel economy. Not that I'm a stingy miser, but I prefer lighter, more purposeful features, and using the gross vehicle weight limits for stuff I want to move.
I think the Maverick fits this bill, it has storage galore relative to other small/midsize trucks I've owned. There are other options for those wanting more bloated cushy features.

Do they back seats recline at all? I'm guessing not, but for road trips it would be nice if they weren't straight up and down.

The seat bottom is fine. From what I’ve read the back seat flips forward but does not go flat. I really wish it would go flat.

The back seat does not recline but is not really straight up and down either.

Thanks. I figured as much. I sat in one briefly, but didn't really test out the back at all.

The only thing I’m not liking about the Maverick is how the back seat folds up , its seems that they could have done a better job like the Ridgeline.

I agree with whomever said it, it is about the 12 V battery location for the Hybrids, Ridgeline does not offer a Hybrid

LOL! We have 5 cats also! We used to live in the Florida, but retired in Utah, so hurricanes won't be an issue!🤣 I like your idea though!

I'm just going to say it. This is a first-year truck. It will take them at least 3 to 5 years to change up a few things on it. And if you have a hybrid, you know that half of that space is being used for that.
If you wanted all that other stuff that the Maverick doesn't do, and you already bought it then it's your own fault for getting one. You knew exactly what you were getting when you made that order.

I'd rather have the under seat storage than more room, B UT that's just me

Me too. I can keep my hard hat and boots in there. Maybe fit my briefcase if I need to run into a store.
