That looks like the rear part. They buckle a bit further forward where a hole is. Forward of the exhaust hanger.

that’s unfortunate, I was expected to get my actual plates this week or beginning of the next week(I shouldn’t say was expected, this very likely isn’t my trucks death sentence by any means)

From the looks of it, the impact didn't go through your hitch receiver? I think that's the death sentence, as the receiver translates the energy directly into the rails. Your bumper looks crumpled, which I think is a good sign. I had a similar accident (very new truck as well) that required new bumper, trailer connector, and harness. $1500 and a few weeks of rental car. Her insurance paid for an Audi to boot.

That's what it looks like to me too, I didn't go and confirm that the frame is buckled or bent in any way, because honestly I wouldn't think a hit at about 15-20 MPH would do that much damage. Also, it's going to a body shop so I'll let the professionals take a look anyway.

That's bad news for me then. I was stopped at a red light and was hit at 80-90km/h by a drunk driver who stole the car. He wasn't wearing his seatbelt, smashed his face in the windshield because the airbags didn't deploy and then ran off into the woods.
The TAC and K9 units are still looking for him and even sent a drone into the air. That was my Tuesday morning before work! Obviously I had to take the day off and taking more time off due to a nasty whiplash.
My whole hitch is bent downwards and well, just look at these photos . It's most likely a write off. At least I got to enjoy this truck for 1.5 years and 27,000kms.

Funny part is that most people made fun of me for buying this truck. It took the impact quite well in my opinion.
The truck shut off by its own, put itself in park and saved the location of the crash.
The police asked me if I could move it because I was pushed in the middle of the intersection. So I started it, and drove it to a side street. I then drove it around to a few body shops and then back home lol. Crazy that nothing shakes on it either.

I bet that it's a write off which is a shame but it still drives like it was before the accident.
