That looks like the rear part. They buckle a bit further forward where a hole is. Forward of the exhaust hanger.knock on wood but looking underneath it looks pretty nice still underneath it might just be the plastic trim piece. Regardless I’m gonna bring it in.
not the best picture but it’s what I got deal with it lol I park directly in the freaking sun

It took me 4 months to get my tag, The dealer lost the first one, I had to go to DMV myself and that one took 2 months to arrive.Ohhhhh Fuuuuuuudge.
You still have the 30 day tag on your Maverick? That's really gotta hurt. Sorry, man.
that’s unfortunate, I was expected to get my actual plates this week or beginning of the next week(I shouldn’t say was expected, this very likely isn’t my trucks death sentence by any means)It took me 4 months to get my tag, The dealer lost the first one, I had to go to DMV myself and that one took 2 months to arrive.
Regen braking not illuminating the taillights likely isn't to blame when OP states there was some 5 vehicles between theirs and inciting impact.Regenerative breaking???
I also don't drive a hybrid, as you see in a comment I showed a picture of the back end revealing an AWD emblem.Regen braking not illuminating the taillights likely isn't to blame when OP states there was some 5 vehicles between theirs and inciting impact.
That's what it looks like to me too, I didn't go and confirm that the frame is buckled or bent in any way, because honestly I wouldn't think a hit at about 15-20 MPH would do that much damage. Also, it's going to a body shop so I'll let the professionals take a look anyway. From the looks of it, the impact didn't go through your hitch receiver? I think that's the death sentence, as the receiver translates the energy directly into the rails. Your bumper looks crumpled, which I think is a good sign. I had a similar accident (very new truck as well) that required new bumper, trailer connector, and harness. $1500 and a few weeks of rental car. Her insurance paid for an Audi to boot.
That's bad news for me then. I was stopped at a red light and was hit at 80-90km/h by a drunk driver who stole the car. He wasn't wearing his seatbelt, smashed his face in the windshield because the airbags didn't deploy and then ran off into the woods. From the looks of it, the impact didn't go through your hitch receiver? Thank you, much appreciated!Good luck on your recovery @Snakeman89!
I think your likely right that your truck will be totaled because of the damage. Was the at fault driver found?
What broke?Regenerative breaking???
PoliticsWhat broke?
Hope they catch him although that probably doesn't mean much to you, I guarantee he didn't have insurance.Thank you, much appreciated!
No, not yet. Still at large.
It was a stolen car. No one buys insurance on a car they stole.Hope they catch him although that probably doesn't mean much to you, I guarantee he didn't have insurance.
