I was rear ended in a similar fashion about 38 years ago on the freeway. All traffic was coming to a complete stop and a guy in a dually truck pulling a horse trailer w/ 2 horses hit me going about 60 mph. Flipped my 85 S-10 truck long ways as I hit multiple vehicles. Was lucky I wasn't killed & Still have back pain from that.

This just happened a couple days ago, but it WILL be totaled.

Actually. Hit the car in front of it... there a two distictive "booms" from the back, then the front hitting. Hope it did not land in that first car's roof.. it did land on its hood...
From all of the posts of rear-end damage and seeing the totaled in Co-Parts.
The rear tends to rise as the crash point moves downward... appears the F150 was dipping down in a panick stop.. The speed was high enough to catapult the Mav as it did...

I doubt it honestly but seeing how bad the bed was destroyed, I see why the spikes to pop the spare tire are there now.

The main lift would be from vehicle that hit the maverick and the exploding tire woul provide some back pressure and help a lot. You want those teeth there.
