I cannot stand it when people call Crashes an Accident. Stop it !
It was a Crash due to human error.
I've never seen an Accident.
"They had an Accident" NO they did not !
One was negligent !
"Stupid is as stupid does," a famous line from the movie Forrest Gump, means that a person's actions, not their appearance or perceived intelligence, reveal their true nature, especially their lack of intelligence or common sense.

They are not accidents, that is Lawyer speak, Pisses me off.

Pretty sure the intention behind the word "accident" is that it wasn't intentional, the opposite of "on purpose". Negligence can still be accidental. That's like saying every forest fire caused by improperly putting out coals is on purpose.

An accident is when a child wets his bed or someone slips on ice.

I doubt any Car CRASH is intentional.

I got hit by lightning in my 2016 Transit Connect at 80 mpg on the Florida turn pike. I was simultaneously blinded by a sudden frog drowning rain and knocked silly by the strike itself.
I could not see anything and had only steering and minimal brakes, Engine quit, I had a dead stick like a plane.
I ditched it.
I did not have an accident. My underwear was dry. Was it a crash or accident ?
The word accident in car crashes feels like the masses who won’t accept responsibility for their actions.
