It's been a minute, but I have an update. I have made it to the 12 second club! I ran a 12.99@105, followed up by a 12.96@105. Still 93 octane, with incedible DA, and some good weight loss!

I will be getting my E30 tune soon, so these numbers will only get better! After the E30 tune gets some revisions, I'll order the lines for the Corsair turbo and get that ball rolling as well! That is as close to a bolt on upgraded turbo as we have, and that size turbo has shown to push between 310-330whp on 93 octane, so not bad at all!

Small December 1st update! I had a chance to do some weight reduction with the E30 tune, and it's progressing pretty nicely! This is the base E30 tune, to go along with my other mods, and QuickRik put down some decent passes!

Newest fastest pass now 12.75@108mph!

Guaranteed if these prove to be failure prone over the long run, somebody will come out with aluminum replacements for these gearsets eventually.

I'll pass this along to a friend of mine who makes various plastic gears for cars when they break and you can't buy OEM replacements. He's always looking for product ideas and can poll the shops he sells to to see if the gears become a problem. Search for 'odometer gears' and you'll find him.

I was reading in another thread the trans is the weak point and already at its limit. Are you datalogging any trans related parameters?

I don't have any slipping issues, shifts on e30 have some bugs, but 5Star is working on it and just sent a new revision. 5Star has probably looked at trans temps, but idk what else they could monitor.

Very impressive! You have knocked 2 seconds of a stock ET, do you have any idea how much horsepower you are now making? For those of use who want to install only a tune later we shouldn't have to worry about the transmission grenading if it can handle this.

By bugs, I just mean that it had some issues shifting. It hit rev limit on the 2-3 shift a few times before actually shifting. I don't know why this was. It only happened is sport mode, so maybe it was commanding a shift too close to the rev limit, and couldn't docit fast enough with the power E30 was making? That's just a guess, lol

Hello again! Update on project QuikRik:

I have done a revision on the E30 Tune, as all looked great from 5Star. The tune was even adding timing, so that's a plus! Fuel was good, so all was well!

I did do a couple more runs in its fastest trim, IE: weight reduction, open DP(because I run the factory exhaust), and E30. The times were basically the same, at 12.73@108mph, and 2x at 12.72@108mph.

I think I've done all I can with this turbo. I "could" gain a little more going to E50 on the factory turbo, but in reality, if I'm planning to go to the Corsair turbo, it's moot.

So, starting in the near future, I will be throwing on the Corsair turbo, and seeing what we can get for power with much better top end power! That's it, no real cool news or anything, just getting back on track with what will most likely be my final upgrade for power!

I think its pretty big news. What you have done is shown that this little Maverick on a stock block and turbo can run with this long list of fast cars. Lightweight HEMIs, Vettes, Ferraris, EVO, Lotus, Caterham, WRX, Vipers. Thats impressive. Cant wait till you pour on a lil hot rod Lincoln flavor on top.
