Last night when getting the mail I noticed my front license plate had a weird angle. Looked closer, and it was sitting high AF!
Pulled it all off, and discovered some pretty gnarly holes in the 'bumper'... Did a quick search, found Ford's bulletin for installation and sure enough, not even close!
Slammed on about an inch to high up and with incorrect hardware. The later was actually good since it's supposed to be riveted on.
Fixed it today, but now I got four (two is right in the split between the painted area and the lower grill, which isn't very visable) fat holes where they shouldn't be but more importantly, if someone screw up a super easy job like this, I'm not to sure I want to bring my vehicle to that shop for anything!

As obviously visable on these pictures y'all can see before Ford dealership pro job and my fix.

Thanks!
Just annoying with flatrate forcing mechanics to haul butt with halfass results.
(Been there myself, refused to do low quality jobs, left for other career!)

My guess is that they're not using a flat-rate mechanic to install license plate brackets, or do the PDI for that matter.

Not really a choice here in Washington. A dealer can't deliver a car without mandatory equipment. I wouldn't mind driving without it, but with these caveman holes now, not an option!

I told my dealer not to put it on and they didn't. SW Washington

No front license plates in AZ so avoided that issue. But... the rear license plate frame was not level.

When the permanent plates came in I ditched the dealer license plate frame and it was obvious there are molded spots on the plastic bumper used to align the license plate/frame. They were missed by a mile.

I used them and now it's level. Got a couple extra holes in the bumper behind the license plate though.

I live in Portland and the dealer left mine off when picked it up. Not sure how they could screw it up there is alignment parts on the back that should put it right where it belongs. Just bone heads I guess.
I used threaded rivets to put mine on, goes for the back plate as well. They work great and better than what is supplied.
