Very good to know as I also have a sump pump and while I didn't think the inverter could handle it, it's good to confirm.
There are also 12volt backup sump pump systems where you use a marine battery and the system has a maintainer and will come on when the ac power goes out.

I have two ac pumps and a 12 volt backup on my sump pit.
My sump pump runs every minute or two, 24/7 and I worry that the 12 volt system won't last long enough in case of an extended power outage.
I am thinking a battery generator to power the equipment and the bed outlet to charge up the battery generator....
Your fears about the battery not lasting long during a power outage are valid. We had a few different battery backup sump pumps over the years and the one thing I can assure you is that they are all unreliable. The batteries don't hold a charge very well and if you have a long power outage the battery back ups die fast. You can find endless reviews of bad experiences with the battery back up pumps.

Then about 7 or 8 years ago a plumber friend of mine strongly suggested we install a back up pump that runs on water pressure. They are far superior, it's not even close. And they last a lot longer. Ours is a Liberty brand and it's been a life saver more than once. It's easily one of the best home improvement purchases we've ever made.

Was looking at the voltage out of my Maverick 400W inverter vs. the 300W inverter I carry in my Escape as I read some laptops power packs have problems with the Ford inverters.

Maverick:

300W Pure Sine Waver inverter:

It's not the voltage that's the problem it is the modified sine wave vs the pure sine wave. The voltage variation could also be a difference in the mavericks dcdc output being 15.2 or 14.6v. it's possible that the pure sign inverter adjusts the input voltage.

it is the modified sine wave
that's not a "modified sine wave"; it's practically a square wave (although it looks kind of like what you get when you try to build a square wave out of sine waves, but I'm 40 years from those classes. [yikes! 40? surely that's a mistake!]

I expect to use it next month to inflate a queen mattress while camping with siblings and our offspring.
postscript:

I got there with the wrong mattress. I didn't even know that we owend a twin! And it needed USBA, anyway.

Quick checks found that neither usb-a socket or the AC (I had a little adaptor) were giving juice, engine on or not.

Went into town for a target (about a 15 minute drive), got the queen in what I thought was the same thing I already had, and got back to find that it, too, was usb-a.

fortunately, my sister in law had showed up by then, and the second brick she pulled out worked.

oh, and a note if you're using those inflatable mattresses: inflate a couple of hours before you need it. The plastic continues to stretch on inflation, even after many uses. Top it off before laying on it, and you won't find that it "loses air" during the night.

We usually boondock. One night the kids ran down my camper's battery right before we changed campgrounds and there was no power at the next site. Plugged my Noco Genius 10 charger into the bed's 110v outlet, ran the cable down the trailer tongue to the battery and it recharged the 100ah lithium battery while we drove. When we arrived it was at 93% 😀
At the same time I was charging my laptop from the rear console 110v plug
So, the OEM inverter isn't completely useless

I tried it for a hair dryer, to heat some tint, didn't even work for that! I suppose that falls under the "motor" umbrella as well, but figured it may work since it was so small. But alas...
To power a hair dryer is no small thing, most of them are around 1200 watts or so, and at 12 volts, that's 100 amps, so forget it, besides it's not so much the motor in the hair dryer, it's the heating element that sucks the juice.

Same here.
Yep. Only problem is you may or may not be able to use high setting. If it pulls too much the truck should just deactivate the 110 power port. A hot crock pot will stay hot for a very long time even unplugged.
