I've owned my Maverick since May, a 2024 Lariat EcoBoost. I just tried plugging a leaf blower and a 20-volt battery charger into the bed outlet. Neither worked. The truck was not running at the time. My understanding is it should work without the truck running. Am I missing something or do I have an issue?

The truck has to be in ready status to use the 120v plug.

Key on with "Ready" displayed on dash on hybrid. I am not sure on EB if key can be in accessory mode since it has larger 12 volt battery or the ice has to be running. In the hybrid the HVB powers the dcdc converter and can start ice to partially recharge it as needed.
ETA: If what you plug in want more than 3.3 amps the inverter is protected and will not come on if draw (including startup surge) is more than 3.3 amps.

How many amps were the leaf blower or charger? You're limited to 3.3 amps. That wouldn't power my tiny 1.5 gal vac.

Also the inverter is modified sine wave and nothing requiring pure sine will run no matter how low a draw it has.

In the Hybrid, when you turn the key to the position that would start an EcoBoost model, you won't hear anything. Instead, a Ready to Drive notice appears on the screen telling you the truck is On & ready to drive away, using the electric motor.
