They're so much fun to drive. After a track day I was talking to the owner of an R35 Skyline GT-R, he told me "the car is really super quick but, to be honest, my old Cooper S was a lot more fun to drive on track."

Then he said "watch this!" and flipped the trip computer to the average fuel economy, it was at 4 MPG. He said the fuel consumption was tragic, and that he had to refuel the car after every 2nd 20 minute session With the Mini he could almost do a whole weekend with 1 tank

She's completely stock, height-wise. Maybe it's the mud flaps?

Totally agree, my Mini Cooper S was a blast to drive on the twisty back roads! I especially liked it when a big truck or SUV is somewhat tailgating me on a curve and I punch it. Just watching them in my rearview mirror trying to keep up was pure joy!
