I hate that you've had that problem and it seems to be kind of a problem no matter what make or model vehicle you have now that the battery is still not last. Too many electronics on all of the vehicles are pulling too much from the battery for them to live long anymore. I have a 2023 LX hybrid...
Sometimes there seems to be no rhyme or reason for all the different problems the truck has or why some like me don't seem to have any problems. But here is something you should watch and then decide if it only effects the Maverick .https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5Fo97SIHAg
First off, a hole that size wont cause a blow-out , second is, that tire will be worn out before it ever leaks again .I have plugged many tires with a hole like that and ran them many years and mile after. Just keep a watch on the air pressure .
I just received it in my email today from the tech company that I get updates on for recalls and TSBs. I am a retired automotive tech so I get updates but not sure when this one first came out.
Maverick Clutch Shudder
Some 2022-2023 Ford Maverick vehicles built on or before April 11, 2023 and equipped with a 2.5L full hybrid electric vehicle (FHEV) powertrain may exhibit a shudder or vibration when braking at 15 mph or below, when the gas engine shuts down and the vehicle is operating...
The one thing I would try and see if it works or not is turn off the traction control. The 2019 Ford ranger I have will make the same noise if I have it cut on when I'm moving slowly so now I turn it off before I ever move the truck which also seems to have cut down rear brake pad wear. Just a...
I wasn't aware of the importance of the different specifications on DOT 4 brake fluids ,although you may have been. But just wanted to put this up as a reminder for those that may not be aware of the difference .
On the Maverick hybrid you do not need to be concerned with cold cracking apps as that battery has nothing to do with starting the engine. What you need to look for and be concerned about is reserved capacity That is what will slowly kill your battery. The higher the reserve capacity the last...
I may have missed it , but have you checked your brake pad wear ? The reason I ask is because as the pads wear the caliper pistons extends to fill in for the wear and hold the fluid in them. This is one way I keep a check on pad wear on my own vehicles.
I am glad you got what you needed ,I have both,2019 Ranger XLT and a 2023 Maverick XL Hyb. The Maverick I use as my "parts " truck and the Ranger for the longer trips. They both have their strong and weak points. The Ranger will get around 27-29 MPG on trips .
I have the choice of no homeowners Ins,and lots of people don't have auto ins. Health ins is a gray area. So unless you are will to pay someone else bill for you "advice " make sure it is good advice with proof and documentation.
That's a good price, but I wish they were closer to me as the closest one to me that has it in stock is over 30 mi away .Kinda like the farmer having eggs for sell fo .50c a dozen but is always out . lol
Perhaps you haven't heard that there is a severe tech shortage nation wide? And only a few techs make this kind of money ,especially when you factor in what it cost to just get started $$$$. Be patient, find another dealer that has a better track record of retaining techs.,or go to school and...
