Any sledders here? I use my Maverick to tow sleds sometimes in the winter. My 1998 Polaris XCR 700.

Yep haven’t done it in years but I used to ride about 5k miles a year on them. Then I got picked up by a team and got to race for Polaris, cat, and one time even a ski poo.
Had a lot of fun and one day dream of getting back on them but they are dang expensive. Especially when even with full maintenance every week they only last about a year. I’m very tough on them.
But man they about about as much fun as one person could have .
So much so I was one of the top 20 fastest atv racers in the world at the time. I still loved the snowmobiles more and I was even close to that days in those. Very good yes elite level nope.
But dang are they fun.

Do they both fit in your Maverick, or do you have a hitch mount carrier for one?
I only carry one at a time. Rear wheel secured against cab, front wheels secured by tailgate tie downs. Trikes are cumbersome to lift, not real heavy but hard to balance when lifting. The low tailgate on the Maverick’s are great.

Beautiful, that baby must haul! I loved the older Ford performance engines, so easy to work with on unlike GM engines.
I could probably change all 8 plugs in under 20 minutes if the gaps were already set on them!! I haven't raced it since like 2012 ran a best of a 11.27 @122 mph on 93 octane pump gas N/A . I changed to a bigger carb that seems like made a nice seat of the pants change in performance but haven't raced the Mustang with the bigger carb yet.

That's awesome you got to do some racing! Funny thing is I feel the same way about Bombardier products LOL. Always have been a Polaris guy with sleds, but I do like Cats and Yamis as well.

The sled market is so crazy now. So much $$$ for new stuff. Couldn't imagine dropping 5-figures on a sled. I just stick with the ole 90s greasy triples, just as much fun but a fraction of the cost. I've been snowmobiling since I was like 5 years old and it's by far my favorite powersport to do.

It's crazy how much larger the Ranger is compared to the Maverick. I can't wait for them to release a hybrid Ranger though.

That’s is a pretty quick time in the 1/4. Nicely done

If, and when Ford does, I think you will be highly disappointed in the fuel mileage. Just a kind of a somewhat educated guess.

I have not. Life has just got very busy. Planned to and I get two free track events a year to go but just don’t have the time. I will though some day.
