A couple years ago our church had a "remove the pews" day, as they replaced the pews with chairs that locked together and were more modular. Used the Mav to bring home one of the short ones. It had no problem doing so, the small ones weighed probably between 100-200 pounds.

There were also several long pews about 30 feet long; don't think that would fit in the back even with a Harbor Freight bed extender

4 Ton HVAC unit.

A 4-ton HVAC system weighs between 300 and 600 pounds in total. An HVAC system's "tonnage" refers to its cooling capacity, not its actual weight.

Just enough weight to make the Mav ride real nice !

I had a tall Yakama bike rack with 2 bikes traveling at 75MPH and got hit by a very bad storm with a gust of 91 MPH head on. The force on the bike was enough to lift the front wheels of the ground and I hit the break to reestablish front wheel contact to the ground. I haul camping gear and lots of air mostly. My hybrid Maverick is perfect for me along with the 50+ MPGs I get in summer city non interstate driving. JUST KIDDING ABOUT THE FRONT WHEELS LIFTING OFF GROUND.

Mine is usually working hard September - December during deer season. Not a heavy load but fun making memories. Son’s first big buck after being field dressed weighed 168#.
I do wish the tremor had a 4k package but I use the locker and tremor modes more than I tow.

Alright, I know there’s gotta be some good ones in here

Let’s see the Mavericks actually doing truck stuff instead of just sitting clean in parking lots.

Post your best hauling, towing, work truck, camping, “probably overloaded,” or random Home Depot run pics below 👇

I’ll throw some of mine in to start:
  • Dirt
  • Cement bags
  • Plywood/full sheets
  • Heavy loads that definitely had the rear suspension thinking about life 😭
Honestly one of the coolest things about the Maverick is how differently everybody uses them. Some people use them like mini work trucks every single day, some are towing boats and trailers every weekend, and others somehow turned them into full overland rigs.

And let’s be real… half the internet still says these “aren’t real trucks,” meanwhile Maverick owners are out here hauling half of Lowe’s home in one trip 😂

Couple questions too:
  • What’s the heaviest thing you’ve hauled?
  • What’s the sketchiest load you trusted the Maverick with?
  • Anyone regret NOT getting AWD or the tow package?
  • Hybrid owners — what’s the wildest thing you’ve hauled while still getting good MPG?
  • What’s one thing your Maverick did that surprised you?
I know some of y’all got pictures that would make Ford nervous. Post em 👀

Halfway through unloading 1,200lbs. of river rock as part of a landscape project out back. The materials yard is 9mi. from home. Got 41mpg under load and the truck drove like a dream. The extra heavy duty tarp did a great job of protecting the factory bed liner as well as the lens covering the light at the base of the bed on the left rear corner. Rocks were put in by a Bobcat with a front-end loader. Worked like a charm.

What’s the heaviest thing you’ve hauled?
1/2 yard of lawn top dressing. It was very close to max payload, maybe a little over, I didn't go to a scale. Would use a trailer if doing something that heavy again.

What’s the sketchiest load you trusted the Maverick with?
See above, steering was very loose and braking had to be planned early for sure.

Anyone regret NOT getting AWD or the tow package?
AWD was not an option for the hybrid when I got mine, and no 4k either. Would I have got it if available in 2022? Yes. Do I regret not waiting until 2025 to get it? Not really.

Hybrid owners — what’s the wildest thing you’ve hauled while still getting good MPG?
I haven't hauled anything wider than the bed of the truck, just waste and plywood. Still get good MPGs unless it's really loaded up.

What’s one thing your Maverick did that surprised you?
Nothing to be honest. It's a small truck, it's done exactly what I would expect it to do.
