Ford absolutely shoulders some of the blame. There were global supply chain and chip issues prior to launch. They vastly underestimated how popular the Maverick would be and specifically the demand for the hybrid.
Oh boy. The only way you can "blame" Ford is if they oversold the vehicles and didn't have the capacity to produce them. We don't know

Example Ford was well aware of how popular the Bronco would be but wait times for that vehicle is longer than the Maverick. If I was Ford I would produce as many Bronco's as possible and less Mavericks.

It seems like there are a lot of unhappy customers, ultimately that is the companies responsibility.

You know you are going to be waiting, what else do you need to be updated with?

In Canada, we don't get anything from Ford. Only dealers. My dealer updated me with Vin and Shipping, and I don't need an update until it's landed. I won't bug them for rail cars, and terminals and yards like so many do here.

It will get here when it gets here. Times are tough, be patient, OR don't order a new car and buy a used car you can get immediately.
You do know you can check your vehicle status on this website, VIN # & Order # needed

I am assuming that you have exhausted all resources of contacting Ford.... so I will just say, that sucks. Hopefully something changes and you get built and they feel sorry for your wait so they throw in another 100 dollar credit card to Fords shit store.

At least you got a build date. I ordered my basic Hybrid XL 10-07-21 and have not received a build date of any kind. Go figure. My order code is in the system and that's all.

I'm telling you guys, just switch to the FWD ecoboost, you won't be sorry. I fully believe that unless you're in nose to tail traffic all day, the hybrid isn't worth it.
To me, the biggest difference besides mpg, is that the Hybrid 2.5 is multiport injection while the 2.0 eco is direct injection. The direct injection will have valve carbon problems around 40k and I understand it is not a warranted item. The solution is a head replacement.

I will say I live in a snow belt area and AWD is definitely safer. If the Hybrid came in AWD I would have ordered it. Just my opinion.
Not that I care or that it is any of my business what someone else chooses to buy, but you can buy several sets of snow tires with the cost difference...and then you have the money you save on gas. This topic has been discussed ad nauseum on this board, it is a fact that tires are WAY more important for capability and safety in the snow than how many drive wheels you have. I have lived in the mountains of Utah for almost two decades, where it snows 6+ months a year, and we do a ton of snow sports and never once been in a situation where I felt I needed AWD (and never been in any sort of accident).

Fudge, my Maverick got pushed back to 08/08/2022

I first got the Vin Mid May and scheduled for 07/04/2022
Moved to 07/27/2022 a few weeks ago.
Then today I called and got moved again to 08/08/2022

Hybrid XL
360
Trailer Hitch
Rear Window
400W Inverter

Is ok, I will wait. My 2007 Honda Element EX AWD with 215,000 miles is still going strong-ish.

Cheers!

No the heads do not need to be replaced. The valves need to be blasted with crushed walnut shells to remove the carbon build up which is around the 60k mark. Some 2.0l turbo owners have had over 100k with no valve blasting. The quality of the gas used makes a difference.

One thing that Everyone on this site and with the Maverick lacks is PATIENCE!

Order Oct 4. XLT FX4. Lux and tow. No extras. Still waiting to hear anything. Getting disheartened but holding on
Sept. Order here. Nutt'in yet for me either. I'm thinking a 2023, and that's ok for me.

True but they are not miracle workers. Plenty of other people upset about not getting their Toyota Tundra, Porsche….. and so on

Most of you whine so much about waiting. By now, we all know it will be a long wait. Why agonize over something you can't control. Blame Ford all you want, but this is a global issue that is affecting all automakers.
I heard on the news that Volkswagen in Germany is on reduced shifts because of part constraints, including wiring harnesses, which come from Ukraine. It gets weirder and weirder every day.
