I ordered my Maverick Lariat on November 13th and at the time was told by the dealer that I would have it in 16 weeks. My truck was finally built on June 16th. I called the Ford 800 number and was told to expect delivery by July 21st. The delivery date was then updated to July 6th, then changed to July 11th. I just called Ford this morning and now it is changed to July 16th. It has been sitting in Chicago Heights since June 22nd waiting to be shipped to my dealership which is a 2 1/2 hour drive from Chicago Heights. The system is broken.
I've been waiting since last August. It was sent to shipping in May.

Right there is your problem. Why would you believe the dealer when you could see what goes on here , have access to the Ford production site and know how dealers fabricate stories?

This has nothing to do with Ford and everything (most likely) to do with the lack of available truckers to transport vehicles. This is a known issue. Just be thankful you have one coming to you sooner vs later. I might see my October 21 order by October 22.
I agree with you. There is this idea out there that fault lies with Ford for all of this, or this person or that person - yet a lack of understanding about how supply chains are completely disrupted. Also our expectation that, just because we want something we aren't entitled to it immediately. These are different times. I don't like it, but I understand it.

Unfortunately that is the way of 2022.
Driver shortages are a real thing.
I had to wait 28 days just to have a dumpster emptied.
Items that used to arrive in 1 week now arrived in 8 weeks.
Peoples vehicles are piling up at railways awaiting car haulers.
I hope you get your truck soon.

My buddy’s Bronco had the same issue: delivery company has a fixed rate contract and they are getting killed on fuel cost. After 2 weeks dealer is/was able to demand shipment (delivery company and Ford dealing with it now). He only had to wait 18 months so, 2 weeks was a walk in the park…

Outlier? Hybrid orders are roughly 40% of Maverick supply not including the constrained orders.
Yes, for sure hybrids are gonna have less built. There have been problems getting the 2.5L motor in needed quantities that are built out of country. There's been almost constant shortage of the High Voltage batteries. My dealer has 1 on order that he has been told isn't getting built this year.

And to top it off, Ford just announced a hybrid recall today because of 2.5L engine fires....

The Chicago train station is a known problem for all sorts of shipping delays. I can't believe this got a Never Again thread when the OP has an actual built vehicle on the way.

For what it is worth was in the same situation back in April. Took 6 weeks for the vehicle to be transported from the Chicago yard to central Illinois. Called Ford, Called Dealer several times, they called there rep several times and no one could make anything happen. Received the vehicle in the middle of May and till this day have never received a vehicle has arrived notification. Last mile is definitely not a Ford competency. Was it worth the wait…most definitely. Was it a long 6 weeks where I cursed and contemplated my purchase…for sure. Hang tight… it will find its way to you.

Can anyone tell me the approximate number of weeks from your "your vehicle is scheduled to be built" until the window sticker populates? I looked for the answer in several of the threads, but there are so many and some go on forever, I could not find the answer. Thanks!

Window sticker comes around Thursday the week before your build week.
