I understood the waiting game involved for getting a Maverick built, but I'm baffled by the shipping process. It was built 12/18, shipped 1/4, and then no update ever since. Anytime I contact Ford or my dealer, they both just say it shows as still in Arizona. Every time I call. the dealer, they give an ETA of the following week. Starting to wonder if they lost my Maverick in the desert...

The vehicles can be offloaded and then blocked at distribution points for unheard of timeframes - I won't tell you that a coworker waited NINE months, after his truck was 'lost', for delivery...(oops, just did)

Others have reported on the forum that they waited up to 8 weeks for delivery. You might try calling Ford, if you haven't already.

They're just waiting for Hobbs to round up some "passengers" to send east with it.(NOT politics, just a joke) Sorry about your wait.

Ford doesn't control the rail, rail shippers aren't UPS or FedEx.

it's probably not on rail, they started doing truck carrier convoys. lots of pics and threads about it here.

but otherwise what you said does still apply.

my 2 trucks both came via rail to KCMO and sat at the storage facility there for weeks. (one 2 weeks, the other almost 5.) I think it's reasonable to assume a similar situation exists for car carrier rigs, it's probably in a storage lot waiting for another truck.

Could be waiting for recall or parts. I ordered the bed divider with my Lariat and it sat for almost 4 weeks less than 65 miles away waiting for that part to come in

Check with Ford chat and see if they can provide you with a Rail car number (if it was sent via rail). Then try to get updates directly from the rail company automated system. My rail car was marked as bad order (defective) and had to be delayed for repairs.

Received notification yesterday that the 2024 Maverick XLT EB that I ordered (but have since decided to not pursue) was built and shipped. Seems much quicker than when I first ordered in 2022.
