You are truly blessed. Many do not have that option or luxury do to disabilities. Even with the extra space to allow wheelchairs accessibility it still happens. I wonder if it's from the carts. Then again many handicapped parking is the same size space just allowing access closer to the entrances.

To the OP yeah it happens even parking in the boondocks, just less frequently. Rubbing compound, touch up paint even paste wax can remove blemishes and minor scratches. I suggest looking up ways to help on u-tube in those instances.

I avoid parking lots and buy Amazon, never got a ding in my own driveway.
Also, on a serious note with all the newer cars being aluminum skinned instead of steel they ding easier.
Part of life although parking farther is better than closer if it's an option.

Pick your spot……….
-away from others
- next to 4 door vehicles (doors are smaller)
- if given a choice, next to passenger side.
- next to “classy” cars. Folks are more careful.
- away from clunkers.
- away from vehicles with vertical door edge guards. They only protect themselves. They may not care about others.
- uphill, as much as is possible.
-Park facing INTO the wind.
-Find an end spot.
Play defense. Apply protection to your own vehicle. Check my avatar.

The commandos have gotten me twice now. (Parking lot dings) How about you?
"Barksdale123" Any pictures?

Here's mine. Sam's club. I believe someone tried driving one of those electric shopping carts between the vehicles.

Haha It's not that easy, for everyone.

I'm disabled and have a handicapped tag and I still park away from others, just not worth it to me.

I try to park where one side is protected. Next to the cart corral or a curb.

I bought side moulding. Some people don‘t it, but it has prevented several dings on my door. You can see the marks on the moulding.
