Recommend door moldings manufactured by Dawn Industries. I have years of experience with their moldings installed on my vehicles. No problems with adhesion or finish or anything else.
I've purchased direct years ago, for consumer sales I believe they now sell on Amazon and possibly ebay. Available for Maverick. Painted to match factory finish.

I'm wondering if anyone is considering body side mouldings to protect from door dings. I know its a must where I work as the parking spaces are very tight. I've seen the chunky block looking OEM ones that sit low on the door but thinking of thinner ones (like my 06 CRV) that a painted to match. any one have ideas or thoughts on this? Prefer stick on vs drilling the door.

My wife's Mirage kept getting the red necks ( I can say that I am one) at wally world dings. The Fix was the Cowles 2.5 inch Chevy truck side molding. Yes on the Mirage it over kill. But on My Mav. It dot look bad and its on for good. I just used a plump bob to find the high point. It has stop the shopping carts cold. Good Luck

PS The Cowles is about 1/4 thicker than the other knock offs on amazon. I bought both.

The main problem with door dings, is that most come from passangers opening the rear doors on 4 door vehicles like the SUV in your picture. It's the sharp corner of the rear door over the rear wheel arch above the molding that's dinging everything. not to many problems with front doors.
