Greetings all. I have a sharp “clicking” in my driver’s door when I fully extend it when opening. No noise when it closes. I’ve tried silicone lube spray on the hinges to no avail. It only occurs during the hot months (May-September here in Texas). Any other ideas or suggestions? Thanks!

There was a problem with the welds inside the door that connect to the tension latch - as in, the welds break. I don't think there was any kind of a recall.
Perhaps the door swung open in a large gust of wind?

Thanks all for your replies. No, it happens constantly during the summer heat months. Been happening since I got the truck 2 years ago. Only when you open, not when you close.

Mine started doing the same thing this spring.

I should probably take it in to see if it would fall under the extended warranty I bought, but I'm not confident about it.

It's not the welds failing. The welds are holding. It is the metal on the door shell that is too thin and failing. Literally ripping around the welds.
