Oil and filter costs less than a tank of gas so change it as much as you're comfortable with NOT less often

FYI I had my first oil change after 5 months and 2700 miles. Talked with the Ford technician and he told me the old oil looked very clean.

Mine's an Ecoboost, but also 3 months in with about 2700 miles on it. The Ford Pass app shows 76% oil life remaining, with an estimated service date of Jan 2024 . Don't think I'll wait that long ;)
I work as a lube tech at mopar but drive a maverick and I just adopted their every 5000 miles just to make sure engines gonna be running smooth. Unless that’s too often I just started the job so just thought it was a good idea

Stay with a 5k oil change service interval. 10k is the MINIMUM to stay within warranty but the engine will not last too much after warranty. Car care nut on YouTube did great video about 9 months ago on a Toyota that was thoroughly maintained with receipts at the 10k interval and needed a new engine at 180k miles

Edit: 5K or when your app/vehicle tells you. Whichever comes first

I had my first oil change at 2100 miles as the on board computer was saying it was necessary. This was a little over a year since I took delivery and I primarily use it for small trips. This is with an Ecoboost.

Yes, 1 year is the oil change time limit, and that is on both the Hybrid & Ecoboost Mavs.

Time matters more than miles, in most cases.
That is, short trips are tough on oil (doesn't get warm enough, sludge forms, etc.), which also means you don't rack up high miles.

It is possible to get told by the dashboard to change oil before a year, if you drive hard (towing, revving a lot, very hot) or simply get to 10,000 miles on the Ecoboost (Hybrids can go 14,000 miles approx.).

In any case, 1 YEAR is the limit.

Before a year, the Mav's computer is keeping track of how rough the conditions are.
Too much heat for too long, ages oil a bit, and oil that never warms up enough gets mucky after a while. Let the engine computer's algorithm do the work here.

Big Warning:
------ The iOLM (Ford's oil change algorithm) does not know if you're driving in dusty conditions or living in Arizona for example. It can't sense that. This means you need to step in and change every 6 months regardless of miles.
