My hot pepper hybrid is supposed to start production Jan 25. But it has been delayed twice now (dec 10 to Jan 10 to Jan 25). I wonder if the paint has anything to do with that.

I would bet most delays are lux package related in some way

I ordered XLT with 4k tow, ecoboost, spray bedliner on 11-29 from Auto Nation in Wickliffe (near Cleveland) and just got a build date of 2-14. Kind of surprised it was so soon. Also email said "in production date" had changed but I never got an email on" in production date" just the build date after order confirmation, so hang in there if your is an ecoboost.

I just got a call from Preston Ford...my hybrid Lariat has a build date of 14 March!!!! This is better than Christmas!!!

Pre-ordered in July '21. Area 51 XLT Hybrid. Still no build confirmation. Dealer is betting it will be in the next round that starts production and said they think I'll get an email next Thursday. I'm betting May delivery. Sigh....

Ordered mine 8/26 through Fred Martin Ford. Area 51 Lariat, no lux package. Original build date was 11/22, kept getting bumped back until 12/18ish. S scheduled to arrive 1/6-1/12. Arrived at Fred Martin on 1/6.

They told me that some options are delaying production (including mud flaps which I removed from my build and might be why mine was faster).

Yeah, I have the lux package with is pushing mine back but I'm okay with that, it gives me more time to build that down payment.
