Same for me: parked in the garage right now
Ditto - Man do I feel fortunate to have gotten my build after continuing to read these orders placed prior to mine, NOT being delivered yet.
Lariat Lux Hybrid with everything but a moon roof, ordered 8-7-21 built 1-20-22 delivered 2-16-22.

I'll reiterate to those of you that wait / it's worth the wait, as it's an amazing good deal on a fabulous truck.

I agree. That was part of the rationale I used when I canceled my order just before Christmas last year. I ordered in July and still hadn't received a build date. Then I started to see all the threads about people having issues. So it was an easy decision for me.

Dealer may be mistaken. The recent info about dealers not getting any new allocations till May might have confused them. It may also be that they aren't seeing any of their custom order allocations getting filled and you are way down the line. In any case a call to the dealer to find out why they think you won't get built would be in order. Maybe a follow up call to Ford as well. Tough times to buy a car for sure.

I ordered two Maverick hybrids last summer. Orders were confirmed on Aug. 17. I was told the wait could be 4-6 months. On March 17, it will be 7 months. I've heard nothing from Ford.
But today my dealer told me the Mavericks would not be built in 2022. WTF?!
I'm shocked at this. It is unacceptable. It is unfair.
I can't believe the disconnect between Ford, its dealers, and the customers.
Ignore everyone being facetious. Everyone’s just mad that they aren’t getting what was promised to them. You’re just a little late to the game here when it comes to the bad news from ford and it’s dealerships. I share your frustration as does pretty much everyone else here. Ford knows exactly what goes into building a vehicle. They overpromised and have beyond underdelivered. That’s what I get pissed about. It’s not like they didn’t know they’d have a massive shortage yet they still took orders saying they’d be delivered months ago. Sucks but it is what it is at this point.

The only way that dealer knows if it’s going to be built or not is if they screwed up the order or they are lying to you, you need to ask them how they know that, if it’s allocations then they still messed up by taking orders they knew they could not get. Although according to my dealer they don’t consider allocation, they claim to not know anything about allocations.

My friend's dad ordered a Hybrid XLT Luxury back in September and order was confirmed. Dealer called to cancel his order 3 weeks ago saying it won't be built for 2022. He lives outside Fargo ND.
.
In one of his live streams, @fordvideoguy said MY22 orders that go unfilled will retain their "place in line" ahead of new MY23 orders. If that's the case no dealer should be "canceling" these orders. They should be talking about carrying them over to MY23.

But what if they are like stale chips?

Maybe the bag was left open, I hate when that happens.

I guess you don't know how "chips" are made and who makes them, or even how products are designed with "chips."
These chips are all on a BoM (bill of materials), listed by vendor and part number. If the part on the BoM isn't available, the buyer can't just go to Fred's chipperia and buy something else. The buyer goes to engineering and asks if there is a suitable alternative. Engineering looks for parts from competitive vendors. Things like resistors and capacitors can probably be found from alternative suppliers and can fit on the boards without laying out new boards. More specialized "chips" like microcontrollers, analog to digital converters, digital to analog converters, CAN bus chips, Power MOSFETs, voltage regulators, very likely can't be sourced without redesigning the board. Then engineering says "it'll take me longer to redesign, release, and procure new boards than it'll take our vendor to have availability again. Then Ford waits.

So no, you won't have inferior "chips" in your truck.

I put chips in quotes because that word is thrown around with abandon and without regard to the fact that there are a lot of constrained semiconductor devices, many of which are integrated circuits of differing functions, but many of which are actually mololithic devices also essential to the functioning of modern products.

I agree with this, why would the order be canceled, it should just roll to 23, sounds fishy, they might want you to think that, then sell your truck for the mark up price

Don’t let them cancel your order, tell them if they want it that bad they can buy it off of you for $10,000 more then your paying for it

They likely never placed the order correctly. That is usually the case in this same (repeated) story.

That said, I saw somebodies ordered XLT in black this weekend that came in. They must have just taken delivery as they were parked in front of the dealership. Looked sharp.

Sorry Lawrence! I ordered early August and took delivery of my hybrid early Dec - only 4 months total. It's not right you are still waiting.

Here is Ford's promise to everyone in their Oct 21 email that gave hybrid order holders the free FITS items: "Your 2022 Maverick Hybrid pickup will be delivered next year, and rest assured that we'll continue to keep you updated."

I would call and write the CEO, CFO, VPs and every board member on their website and hold them to this promise to keep you updated. You ordered way before the long line. The CEO can certainly move you to the front. Be the squeaky wheel he is not more important than you. It's the other way around because you are his customer.

Retain their "place in line". I wouldn't take that advice to the track. It certainly hasn't meant much to those who have been waiting for 8 or 9 months now.
