I was being sarcastic, jerk. I’m not consumed, just pissed off.
Just hit the ignore button then you never see any more posts from them. I’ve done that to a few members here 😀

I think the reason why he was being smart is because this is probably post 150 saying the same thing. I don't think any dealer knows for certain but as someone above said, your dealer may be out of allocations or have a lot of people in front. Ask them where you are in the queue and what their allocations are.

Since you're naval Captain Pete Mitchell you should know Top Gun 2 isn't suppose to be release until May 27, 2022. Your orders will catapult off the assembly line and land in your driveway just in time for Memorial Day. You do NOT have permission to buzz the dealership when you drive by.
He should be at least a two star admiral by now, shouldn't he?

I ordered two Maverick hybrids last summer. Orders were confirmed on Aug. 17. I was told the wait could be 4-6 months. On March 17, it will be 7 months. I've heard nothing from Ford.
But today my dealer told me the Mavericks would not be built in 2022. WTF?!
I'm shocked at this. It is unacceptable. It is unfair.
I can't believe the disconnect between Ford, its dealers, and the customers.
Your fault it was up to you to stay on top of your order and really can't blame your dealer! Especially if you've been following all the goings-on through this Forum

I'm sad this is happening to our fellow Maverick folk!

Did you ever get a confirmation email from Ford? If not, the dealer might have messed up your orders to begin with. The lack of communication from Ford has been a major source of frustration for everyone. But this is the worst sort of news after waiting so long! I hope your down payments are refundable.

What will you do now? Can you watch for a similar stock Maverick and get one or two that way?

This article specifically say’s “dealer stock allocations” and ford will continue to build customer orders.
This^. It’s very clear Ford is building what it can to meet customer orders, not stock. The current intention is to build all the MY22 orders. The only reason any would not be built is because of parts shortages, which would only be known for sure closer to the end of the production year.

If a dealer tells you your order is cancelled at this time, it can only be because of two reasons: The dealer failed or incorrectly entered the order (eg no ROVP/COVP) and won’t fess up OR the dealer wants to get your vehicle to sell it with a fat ADM.

Maybe the lack of communication comes from dealerships being used to selling cars off the lot…versus ordering and managing customers expectations until the vehicle is received. The dealership I’m using is no different and as a result, my purchasing experience is not satisfactory.

you mean there are words in there other than the title? crazy idea. i didnt know it was possible to still be shocked by news like this. it is happening everywhere to everyone, most people dont care or pay attention till it happens to them. i have a maverick and f150 on order and was aware enough to know it will be a while and time hacks will change constantly, people need to open their eyes

Can't you read his Dealer says no truck for him this year, My advice just wait and order your Hybrid on 8/16/22 And please pick another Dealer 😉
Seems like you’re the one who can’t read. One of my options was “wait” 🤔

I replied

“Either wait, or move along”

Reading comprehension is fundamental.

What really sucks about the whole allocation mess is having to deal with unscrupulous dealers and a motor company that should be filling customers orders in the approximate order they received them. Ford knew the current auto industry parts and chip allocation issues before they started taking orders. If you can’t do it, don’t promise people you can. Ford knew and knows what it can get out to customers. And these few dealers trying to scam people out of their trucks to sell at a higher price should be addressed.

Dealers should not be able to take orders without the allocations to fill those orders. A buyer could then move on to another dealer that could place the order. Bad business to promise what you can not deliver.
