No start

Truck sat for 1 1/2 days and won't start. Pouring rain so I didn't try and jump. Is this normal for the hybrids after setting for a couple days

Not normal, my '26 sits for 4-5 days at a time, starts right up.

Do you have the Ford app connected? If so, does it say anything about deep sleep?

It has not been my experience with my 2023 hybrid with 28,000 miles. It doesn't get driven very often. It still has the original flooded battery that came with the truck.
It can sit for 4 days and I've never had a problem
I hope this doesn't turn out to be a bad experience with this Ford.

O.P. has only had their Mav since the end of June. Maybe they got a bad 12v battery, or maybe it wasn't charged and the BCM set itself too low to properly charge it.

Either way sounds like a call to the dealership is in order - hopefully they send a mobile tech out to have a look ASAP.

On my 4 th battery....2 were AGM....2023 xl hybrid....

I think your battery is either defective from the factory (not likely), or it was delivered to you without a fully charged battery. a 2026 should have an AGM battery in stock form.

That means it died fast one of those nights.
Too fast for the BMS system to see a limit was reached and fire off 1 last message to Ford to send to your app.

I wouldn't even jump start that one - they need to tow it in.

was there any close lightning strikes ? (my avatar is appropriate lol ) - because i had a buddy ( non maverick) who that happened to and his battery got damaged. Sounded weird to me but there is science behind it and it happens.

The Hybrid doesn't have an alternator. It uses a DC-to-DC stepdown converter with the hybrid battery to charge the 12V battery.

Be very very concerned if they report back, especially if on the work order - that the battery and alternator both tested good.
