Has anyone had any luck getting this TSB covered under powertrain or hybrid component warranty?

Currently sitting at 41k and completely dead(22 hybrid, build date Mar 2022) It had been entering “battery saver mode” regularly. Was able to jump initially but it wouldn’t jump when ford came to offer pickup services. Towed it to the dealer, they jumped it, and they claim it’s just a bad battery ($300) to which I mentioned this TSB. After learning how long this takes to order parts and get repairs I hope they're right.

I’m worried this is a temporary fix and I’ll be SOL in the near future and possibly on the hook for more repairs (if I’m not already).

Any success in getting this covered after 36k??

Seeing that this is a design flaw, a common issue, and how in demand/short in supply the parts are, how is this not a recall yet?

Ugh another post on this instead of searching.

@da4365

I have the same issue on a 22 Lariat Hybrid with a December 21 build date. The problem started in November 24 and we replaced the battery. Luckily I had purchased a battery booster a month before all this started last November. Those things are gold! Everything was fine until a few weeks ago and now it happens after every four or five start attempts. With 75000+ miles on it I took it to the dealer and showed them CSP 22B39. My VIN is not listed for that CSP so they wouldn't cover it. I whined a little about my truck build date, same exact issue, obvious manufacturer defect, etc, etc, but they wouldn't budge and told me to call Ford. So I called the customer satisfaction line, 800-392-3673, and they told me the same thing....sorry VIN not covered and gave me a case number to take to the NHTSA. I'm not in the mood to pay for the work and expense involved with TSP 22-2340 so I'm going to try finding the connection and making some kind of repair myself.

If the eyelet isn't broken/desoldered and the cable freely loose then, no, it's not the 'same exact issue'.
