Really how often are you gonna be opening your hood?
Besides you'll need to be really careful with your hood as it's pretty thin Aluminum

Be careful, three reports of hood not opening after install. Manufacturer is working on issue.

Simple solution don't change from the factory hood stick, Because really how often are you going to be opening the hood?
plus you can save a couple hundred bucks for other toys

Yes but the Mustang was made with real American steel unlike the rather thin metal of the Maverick

I removed mine after several adjustments and it damage my side fender. I was excited too but my hood wouldn’t open after many adjustments. I even had the local ford adjust it and they simply said the struts it’s holding the hood release. Went back to stock now my hood opens. : (

Not worth the trouble in my opinion. I open the hood once, maybe twice a year to change oil. The tailgate assist I do plan on getting, that is actually nice to have.
