No confirmation email from Ford

I ordered my hybrid xl on 11/11. The dealership provided me a DORA. I have not received a confirmation email from Ford. I called my dealer and they said no big deal and relax, it's ordered. They said they have ordered tons of these things. Is not getting an email anything to worry about?

I didn't get an email either. You can chat with Ford's customer service and they can confirm your order.

@fordvideoguy Is it a good indication that an order was properly placed in the ROVP if Ford's Customer Service verifies the order?

Not necessarily, what they are seeing is the order itself not the ROVP approval.

I order my Maverick on 08-23-21. It haS move thru the process: bottom date on window sticker went for 10-15, 10-22 to 10-29 with dlv. date of 11-27-21. . . All this time tracker shows in production. Now as the fordvideoguy said somehow the process does not have my email. But FOMOCO hq. has it. I called. I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM FORD MO. CO. Only from my dealer, who notify me it was to late to change to AWD. TRUCK WENT TO PRODUCTION. HOPE TO SEE TRUCK 11-27-21. SO FORD MO. CO CAN HAVE YOUR EMAIL, SOMEHOW NOT NOTIFY YOU OF THE PRODUCTONS STEPS. MY TRACKING DATA STILL SHOWS IN PRODUCTION. WILL SEE WHAT HAPPENS NOVEMBER 27.

No emails for me either but Ford confirmed order is in. Was told the no-emails was a common problem by customer service 🤷‍♂️

Put my order in 11-1 and never got an email either. The dealer confirmed it was ordered when I talked to him about it.

You can contact Ford and talk to someone to verify your order. You need the sales code & order code form your order sheet. (there is a thread about it on this site). The number is 1-800-334-4375. Be prepared to be on hold for 15-30 mins. I called the number and she said the order was in but then she said it was for a "super duty" which had me confused as that is a big dually pickup, so I went and talked to my dealer to make sure there wasn't a screw up and he confirmed my order was in. The super duty thing wasn't relevant and nothing to worry about. He gave me some explanation that I can't remember off hand.

As an IT guy this sort of thing kills me,

There are a number of reasons you do not see an email. You probably did get the email but it is being filtered in some way. For example in Outlook there's a "focused" inbox which basically just hides crap it doesn't think you need. In email clients there's also a difference in spam and filtering straight to trash. Different email services and clients have different setups and algorithms for filtering spam as well so if you really didn't get it, there's a chance that the email is stuck in a quarantine or something and then microsoft sends you a generic email letting you know this but most people ignore it.

All that is to say, for as many people I see say that they did not get an email (both on the job and off) It's a bit strange that it magically appears when I look for it. It is possible to have not received an email but delivery rates are so good that it should not be a common occurrence.

Now pretend I politely suggested everyone look through the various filters/folders in their email. The search function works better with fewer words.

No you don't. Those numbers (which I did not yet have) were provided to me upon asking for them over the phone by the person at Ford. In fact, because the dealer was being so obstinate about it, getting those numbers was the primary reason I eventually called the Ford toll-free line.

Shall add that the sole e-mail received from Ford was the immediate one after placing a reservation. Since then, nada. And the Ford rep informed me I was far from being alone in that boat.

I waited nine months for the birth of my child. I have waited almost 9 months for a Starlink Dish, and I have no idea when it will be shipped.

I ordered my hybrid Maverick in June, and if all goes well, it says it will be delivered in January 2022. That’s seven months.

I guess waiting for a Maverick is not that bad.

I never received email either but Ford Rep told me my order is in. I’m also not receiving any promotional email and I am opted in 🤷‍♂️

I have ordered 4 times now.

1st order - they didn’t spell my email addressed correctly. After being fixed I got the email in less than 6 hours
2nd order - they didn’t do the ROVP thing. 3 months later I convinced them do it and I got the email within an hour.
3rd order - got my email before leaving the dealership
4th order - email came in 12 hours
