I went on a 8000 mile road trip and yes got flashed some times but its not auto high beams those work great, its the regular head lights that are bright especially if your loaded down a bit , it lifts the front end of the truck some, but that being said best headlights ever Ever . I was in northern Canada where moose and other critters are a real concern at night and the auto high beams are the best (option) I've had on any vehicle.

You do have auto high beams. All Mavericks do.

Unless you mean you've disabled it.
Yes, I have it disabled.

Yep. I was flashed last night by a car that was trying to cross the same street but in the opposite way. He flashed me. I flashed him so he knew i dodnt have my high beams on, but he kept flashing me. So i flashed him again. Piece of shit dodnt understand i wasn't flashing him. So yeah, the normal droving might might be a tad bright.

I would check the lamps aligment just in case they are outta wack. I have found with led head lamps that the slightest incline in the road puts the beam into the eyes of the oncoming driver. Could be your just hitting a elevated portion of the road at that moment.
The only problem with auto high beams are alot of people just leave that setting on. They don't shut off the high beams when behind a car. It's real annoying traveling on the interstate with one of these nimrods behind you.

I know that my gals 2020 Escape dims for taillights as well as headlights so it wasn't us behind you.

The only thing my Escape struggles with is when vehicles are pulled up perpendicular at an intersection when I'm paying at speed. Otherwise, they work great and I tend to leave them on auto.

Auto high beams should just be left on they work flawlessly. its crazy how well they perform.
Yep—I’m impressed. They’re quicker to shift than I am. The only times I’ve taken over was when I could see headlights coming at the top of a hill.

Maverick headlights are quite average in performance, at least compared to the other LED equipped cars I've owned.

You do need to check alignment like everyone else is suggesting. I never got flashed in the Maverick I owned for a bit, and I never get flashed in the Integra - which sits lower but has headlights in an entirely different league than the Maverick.

I can't believe as prevalent as LED headlights are now so many people are still dazzled by them. A good, properly aligned, factory installed set of LED headlights is not dazzling.

If you leave the auto high beams on, oncoming vehicles will see the hibeams shut off from a distance and know they are now seeing the low ones.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's not the auto hi beams. When it first started happening I began the practice of using regular lights whenever I drive. Meaning the last setting past the auto lights (Off, fog, auto, lights on). The hi beam indicator was never on and when I flashed back the hi beams definitely showed up. I did disable the auto hi beams just as part of the experiment but I suspect that the people mentioning alignment are going to be closer to the solution.

Now, there IS a perverse satisfaction in being like "You think THOSE are my brights? THESE are my brights!" But it's starting to get a little tiring.

I'm thinking this is really close to it. Wondering if as the LEDs react to the road surface people think I'M flashing THEM and are responding. It's happened on some pretty smooth, flat roads as well though.

Automakers are accidentally making their headlights too bright. GMC just had to recall the Terrain because of too bright headlights. Maybe it's an issue as the automakers switch to LEDs
