Night driving getting flashed with high beams

I've recently been driving at night a lot. EVERY time I drive at least one person, if not more, flash their brights at me. On one long drive at night I had at least 6 people flash me. Definitely not driving with my high beams on. Anyone else experiencing this?

Maybe they were warning you of a speed trap or other danger ahead?

Maybe they look different or they are out of adjustment. Doesn’t hurt to check.

No, it happens every single time I drive in the dark. In town, in the country, everywhere. I'm not sure if the LEDs are just that bright and people aren't used to them...?

Turn off the auto high beams settings mine aren’t quick to drop back to standard lights as I would.

I don't use the auto setting at night, I just turn the lights on.

Okay, I went out and looked in the menu and there it was. Switched it off, now I'll observe over the next few days. Thanks much!

I occasionally have someone flash me and I have an XL with no auto-high beams. I think the whiteness of LED lights make them appear brighter than standard halogen so some people think you have your brights on. Dunno.

Yes Hybrid XLT. Just got back from 4,000 mi Plus trip from Tennessee to California. About 50% of the driving was at night on interstate 40 got flashed several times people thinking my highlights were on. Also have had the same problem with my wife's 2020 Jeep Cherokee not sure what the problem is maybe living out in the middle of nowhere the lights seem brighter

I had to turn mine off. It was like a strobe light.. Auto high beam is only good if you are in a road with not many cars.

You do have auto high beams. All Mavericks do.

Unless you mean you've disabled it.

That's their cars way of saying wow! Cool truck! Like we open our eyes wider at amazing things.

Funny this came up because just tonight at least 6 vehicles did the same to me.
