I won’t be in the market til my 2026 gets real close to five years old so the 2031 ish model I will look at.Ford delayed the launch of the next gen F-150 and expect that they will do the same with the Maverick. There has been no news at all regarding the next generation model and folks saying the next gen model would be MY28 are just simply speculating.
Ford is entirely focused on the Fathom and getting their affordable EV off the ground. Introducing a next-gen Maverick alongside the Fathom would not serve Ford well at all.
Expect that the next generation Maverick doesn't arrive until MY29 or MY30.
By which time it will likely have so much big brother baked in no one will want new vehiclesFord delayed the launch of the next gen F-150 and expect that they will do the same with the Maverick. Wanting and needing are two different things. Durability and parts availability are also factors. Ford doesn't build the Model A anymore.By which time it will likely have so much big brother baked in no one will want new vehicles
Totally agree in the need to add back some physical buttons. I’ve driven my sibling’s MY25 on a couple of long trips. While I like the AWD hybrid setup, I could not get used to no physical controls for the simple things like HVAC.Maybe a front nose refresh AND bring back some real knobs & buttons on the interior. I drove one of my other vehicles the other day after driving the Maverick for a couple months straight, and was amazed how I was able to make various changes (climate control, radio, etc.) without taking my eyes off the road. And did it in ONE step, not multliple steps.
The headlights remind me of the new GMC Sierra 1500The next gen Maverick!! 5 Foot bed and can tow 5,000lbs!

I can still get plentiful parts for my 91, and the remaining 2000s cars in my family. One guy at work still refuses to upgrade from his 90s escorts. And we're in the salt belt. You can keep cars running a LONG time.Wanting and needing are two different things. Durability and parts availability are also factors. Ford doesn't build the Model A anymore.
My ideal refresh would have the 305HP hybrid from the escape based lincoln, the 10 way seat from the escape, and the physical controls from the ranger/f-150 sync 4 edition.Totally agree in the need to add back some physical buttons. I agree maybe a frt bumper and grille, maybe fog lights, that's it. If they get some competition from other company's like Toyota, GM, VW, Subaru, etc. we will see some changes and lower prices.Maybe a front nose refresh AND bring back some real knobs & buttons on the interior. It is slated for MY 2028, which should be out within a year. Unless there are delays.Any real news on the next gen Maverick. No spy photos of testing mules etc. Has it been pushed out to 2029? With the Santa Cruz gone, not much pressure to push the gen2. They may want the Fathom to get the press before talking about the new Maverick. I have heard they may do a Maverick van. Doesn't seem to be on any radar. Tim Bartz has said nothing and I am sure his dealership has seen something.
It is not slated for MY28. That is purely speculation based on Ford’s recent model refresh schedule. It is slated for MY 2028, which should be out within a year. Unless there are delays.
That is based on a unifor document. MY 2028.It is not slated for MY28. That is purely speculation based on Ford’s recent model refresh schedule.
As 2027 model years are out currently they won’t be introducing a new generation in MY28.

A very overweight obese couple get in their Tesla ands ask it to take them somewhere they’ve never been.Look at Tesla sedans.
No new generations since 2012 and they still sell.
(with perhaps some software changes, you gotta admit they all look the same...)
i would pay 50k for a used ranger raptor before getting another tremor mav at that cost.I’d gladly pay that fora 5 ft bed and 5,000 pound towing toughness and a 2.3 EB.
In The Tremor package.
I wouldn’t hesitate.
