Man - my wife and I talked about trading in our Ascent for the Rav4 Hybrid. It seems like these days every car has its issues. Some worse than others.

They do. It’s a fact with the advances in technology and rush to production. My grief is that some live in glass houses and love to cast stones. My opinion, just my opinion, the Toyota people have a holier than thou smugness. I don’t buy into it but again everyone is entitled to their opinion but it doesn’t mean that I have to agree. I will respect their opinion but I expect the same courtesy in return. Everyone should buy what suits them best, if I disagree it doesn’t make me wrong. I like my Maverick, in my opinion it’s a phenomenal vehicle for the price and it’s overall utility. I don’t need someone to tell me another manufacturer would do it better when they didn’t have the foresight or balls to do it first.
There will be a bunch jumping on the compact truck market AFTER THE FACT.

In part manufacturers keep stretching and widening the suspension to play around with the CAFE fuel efficiency target calculations. Likewise the new gen Ranger is a few inches wider.

No way it will it be 40k . 43k seems likely with its new interior , wireless charging pad etc .

My 2019 Colorado 4wd Z71 club cab, with wireless charging pad, was $32,000. I’m sending it in to one of my survey crews and downsizing to a maverick hybrid assuming my first day order comes in.
