I originally ordered my Maverick XLT FX4 and cactus gray with co-pilot and tow package in January 2022. I received my order sheet with everything I placed through the dealer and San Bruno, California.
With all the trouble that Ford had in material back orders, at the urging of this forum I deleted the spray in bed liner.
In October I got a VIN and a production date of Nov 1 and a window sticker.
After several delays, including both manufacturing and 60 days of shipping time on rail, my Maverick came in. I went to pick it up at the dealer was happy drove it home and slapped on the BAK XS4 roll-up tonneau and Elevate racks.
Little did I realize though that they? had deleted my co-pilot 360. The dealer hasn't responded to me in over two weeks and of course the Ford reps don't know anything about it. I'm still trying to figure this part out. BTW, after investigation, the copilot 360 was on my order sheet, but not the window sticker..I got confused and thought the window sticker description of emergency stop or crash alert was the copilot 360.
So now I'm wondering if there's anything I can do about adding co-pilot 360 after I already have the truck.
Other than that I love the truck. I stuck on some nice red and black insert lettering for the tailgate that go great with the FX4 decal and it pops on the cactus gray.
The rollup tonneau cover is awesome. And I love the way the elevate racks fit right with the truck. I can stick a six or so medium large Rubbermaid containers under the tonneau, another six on top of the tonneau, and mount my Yakima rocket box on top of the elevate bars as well as a bicycle. I found that my old full size pickup bed elastic cargo net fits very well from the bed rails and over the elevate rack system to hold the top layer of goods stored on the tonneau cover in place.
I also plan on getting a spray-in bed liner aftermarket, but in the meantime I bought some interlocking gym floor mat foam pieces and cut them to size to fit the bed. This is actually working very well. I love the lightweight foam that I can remove anytime I want and wash it down and it gives me a half inch of protection for the bed. I'm thinking of ordering a little bit more and lining the wheel wells inside of the bed and tailgate.
With a tonneau cover and elevate rack system, I'm getting a combined 22 miles per gallon, and on the highway at a casual 65 to 70 mph, I'm getting 31 miles per gallon with the FX4 and all terrain tires mind you.
The Maverick feels almost like a large Subaru. It doesn't feel like a large pickup truck at all, but it feels a little bit more beefy than my wife's Outback. And I can tow 4k pounds.
I just wish Ford or the dealer had let me know that I was not getting co-pilot 360.
