I replaced both my front ones myself for 290$ total.
I'm replacing mine myself as well, and I'll be at about $340 total after shipping. But I also bought the axle nuts to go along with the axles

like many others I am dealing with bad cv axles. Took my truck in when I noticed the shaking upon acceleration and it was confirmed a passenger side cv axle. I asked if they could replace both and was told no. Waited 3 weeks for the new and improved cv axle while still continuing to drive on it. Was installed today and just got the call that it’s better but still present. So as predicted they now said the driver side is bad and the part is 1 month out. Again, they told me to continue driving it. Who knows what damage is being done to related components while driving. I’m sure it will be something else after the driver side is repaired.
this is only one of many issues I’ve had with this thing. Worst vehicle I’ve ever owned. If you’re on the fence about a maverick , don’t do it.
Sorry Had the same thing but it was under warranty My dealer told me I should replace both and I did it the same day. Not sure why your dealership is giving you a hard time?

I’m currently waiting on my third set of cc axels. Shaking is getting pretty bad as I am at approx. 6 weeks of waiting for the parts. Apparently the part # has been updated so hopefully it’s an upgraded axel. Safe to say this will be the last Ford I ever buy. At this point it comes down to financial reasons for me. I bought mine on the 36/0% promo and it’s just about paid off. If there were any competitors at the same price point and MPG I would have sold it when the axels went out for the second time. Luckily my Ford dealer has been pretty good with the rental cars. I am currently awaiting a call back to confirm a rental even though the truck is “drivable” it’s to the point where I have issues accelerating on the mountain roads that I drive to and from work.

Hearing all of these reports make me very happy for my 2025 and the upgraded eCVT (I know not related) and the newly upgraded CV axles.

How long ago was this? The new ones have just recently been released and on backorder with about a 1 month wait. They knew the passenger side was bad, ordered it and waited 3 weeks. Once replaced they all of a sudden “discovered” passenger side is also bad and now I’m waiting around 1 month for that. The positive is I know I’ll have 2 new and upgraded axles and not just the same old junky ones.

Does anyone yet know it the 2025 maverick comes with improved CV joints?
My 2025 is under construction and I do not know what to expect.

The 2025 hybrid has completely different CV joints but the 2025 EcoBoost is unknown at this time.

I hope these are the beefier ones mentioned, or, that those beefier ones are the 2025 ones, and that they prove well

I haven't had any issues yet, but I still hope those that are having issues have a reliable fix then for me it's just knowing it's only a matter of time

it’s not the “beefiness” of the CV axle that has been failing. It is a completely different (and cheaper) internal design than the Tremor CV axle and it is also quite a bit shorter.

The reported issues with 22-24 hybrid cv axles were it wasn’t fully seated or backs out due to length and the splines of the axles are ruined and/or the boot became separated losing grease but an MTC member @Bwicka opened up both axles and determined the hybrid axles were a more basic cheap design prone to failure.

It does appear the new part number cv axle is longer and substantial so we can assume it addresses the spline issue but I will be interested to know what improvements were made inside of the boots
