Be that as it may, the length of time for the display is my pet peeve.
And it's your desired below 5-10 seconds max when all is done that's been stated.
If back seat not used, then buckles done is only a plus in your situation.
Have you actually tested it yet?

The pop-up is the part I don't care about. I hit the "OK" button. I check the gauges and status indicators, as I said.

You drive without checking any of that stuff?
Almost all pop ups don't stay long enough to read. Look at tpms screen while rolling. Look at dash for check engine light or red items. Do not have any thing installed to check 100 items. Check oil, tires monthly.

A solid indicator designating a problem will stay illuminated, but if you don't look at the dash, it might as well not be on. But I assure you that the seatbelt indicator stays on long enough for you to learn how to read.

No, I have not had a need to drive anywhere since I posted my comment a few hours ago.

I always wear my seatbelt, and I buckle it before I start the ignition. I don't understand why the indicator showing I actually have my belt buckled stays on the screen so damn long. If I'm buckled, it shouldn't even pop up, but if it does, 5 or 10 seconds max should be sufficient.
My 2026, it’s about five seconds then it’s gone.

Yes that's all I want to do is open the windows, no A/C.
I turn off the A/C before iI turn off the engine. It comes back on automatically at the next startup.

It is NOT a "feature," it is a bug.
Surprising that complaint from "middle of AZ" - in Florida it's appreciated!

I melt the ends with a lighter sometimes or I recut the ends in a way that smoothes them.
I pre-gauge the length necessary and then cut the tail off before I put them on....

Cable ties/zip ties are used in several industries. The HVAC industry especially. You have to reach in certain areas of a furnace or condenser to "move components" and I've been sliced by the cut edges more than once! When I use them I intentionally rotate to where the cut edge is away from slicing the next person. During an assembly process, the workers know they will never have to get under the hood for anything so they don't care AND are under a timed constraint to get it secured before the next car rolls down the line.
