I currently have a hammock in the back seat, and my dog wears a harness with line attached at the seatbelt buckle. But she's 50 pounds and sometimes puts her foot in the part of the hammock that is not supported by the seat, so the hammock is starting to show a lot of wear and will have to be replaced soon. I'm looking for better options. My thoughts include a dog crate turned sideways, just replacing the hammock, creating some kind of platform that will bridge the unsupported portion and then replacing the hammock. I've even considered a rear seat delete option, but my son doesn't leave for college for another year and a half, and sometimes we need a spot in the back for him. I really like the custom crates I've seen in minivans (we compete in nosework/scentwork trials, and
