The manual does not contain opinions and records of the experiences of those that have been there and done that. That's why I read this forum.
The trouble is, the way you answered the question is dickish. It comes off as the tried and true "GRTFM" (go read the f***'in' manual). The simple and friendly way to provide similar information is to answer the question AND indicate how, and/or where you found it.

Those of us calling you out for giving an dick answer KNOW and UNDERSTAND where you are coming from, but we're pointing out your lack of tact.

Heck, simply including a link to the manual thread, or providing brief instructions on how to search for the manual would have taken minimal effort, but you couldn't be bothered with that.

That is exactly the point...and you seem to not get it...
I think some things, like the original question, seem obvious that the answer will be in the manual. What's next will be "how many liters/quarts of oil are required for an oil change". If people are not aware it's in the Manual, OR are too lazy to click the PDF and look it up we'll be getting the same questions over, and over, and over again. A better solution is to show people how to use the manual's search function.

Chat sites, like this one, are best to get opinions and experiences with issues and features of the Maverick....the Owners Manual is not intended to be read but as a reference look-up tool so everyone does not have to answer the same questions, over and over, and over again....otherwise "Chatrooms" become useless and become an extension of the manual and become overwhelmed with repeated answered.

It's seems like you think I don't understand the concept or something. I get it. I look up answers myself and read manuals. I just don't expect that everyone is like me and if I can simply answer someone's simple question I do. It is extremely passive aggressive and smug when someone asks a question to give them homework to get the answer. There is a type of person that is compelled to do this sort of thing and forums seem to attract a great many of them. If you don't like people asking questions like that then just skip it and don't waste time replying. To take the time and effort to respond and not actually answer the question is sociopathic behavior.

You sound old and stubborn. This forum is full of simple questions that could be answered by the manual. No one comes hear to be taught how you think they should learn. They came to ask questions, share knowledge, discuss things, and some even just for social interaction and something to do to pass time. Every forum has a few like you and Spook that like to be passive aggressive and tell people where to find answers to questions instead of just answering them when you already know. It's a beta boomer move.
Hey, I don't have a dog in this fight (and not going to respond further) but I hope you realize that every forum has a few like you as well.

And I am glad for that. It is good to have people that actually answer questions and call out sociopathic behavior.

Dude. The post you're off the rails about actually provided useful information (even if it was a bit terse), and now you've been ranting for a page and a half. I hope you see the irony here.

How many quarts of oil does it take? what is the factory tire pressure suppose to be set at? How much fuel does it hold? All perfectly good question to be looked up in the Manual. the problem with answering every question is people just stop looking for themselfs and the forum is cluttered up with this stuff. might be a good idea to add a "question section" to this forum.. And I will continue my rant. Anyone that actually cares about the OPs question already has the answer. He even edited his post to have the answer. I am definitely trying to make a point. It seems I have drawn a line in the sand and the other sociopaths are coming out of the woodwork to support forcing people to lookup their own answers instead of just answering the question. Let's make this a giant megathread of how to interact with people socially without being a dick. I'm all for it! Bring it on!

The guy replying to the OP that I called out did not provide any useful information. Useful information would have been "20mph". Simple. To the point. Useful. Does not require another step for anyone that had a similar thought and just wanted a quick simple answer without opening up a PDF and finding the answer themselves.

There does seem to be one here that has sociopathic behavior.

Hint: It's not the poster telling the OP to read the manual for the answer.

Stop teaching someone to fish and start cooking for them. I'ts nearly 2022. No work, have everyone else do everything for you. It's the new way. Get with it!!!!!
I know someone who is working 7/12's (40hrs reg time + 44hrs over time /week) due to so many who are "with it" and are refusing to work! Sees wife & kids couple days every 3 months or so.

Someone doesn't know what sociopath means. Maybe you should look it up in a dictionary...

And I bet he would really appreciate a simple reply to a question instead of having to spend time looking it up himself...

Your answer is on page 213 of the manual. You can find a copy of it on this site.
Thank You for posting where and how to find the answer.

I always look in the manual first then if it cannot be found or I am confused by the answer then I will post a question on this forum. Others here had pointed out that look in the manual first. I did and thanked them for helping me.

There are so many cluttered threads on this forum because no one looked in the manual first.

@Administrator Could you please make a Sticky Post about searching the user manual for answering questions first.

Inside the post:

Link to the User Manual in PDF form and how to use the search feature and if an answer is not found or confused by the answer that post questions here.

Thanks
