Kinda crazy people are still offering high prices as dealers now seem to have stock of both the EcoBoost and the hybrid models on lots.
Agreed. Buyers should be able to negotiate on '24 Mavs in inventory. My ultra small dealer shows 43 Mavs in stock. Most are hybrids. Most are XLT's, a few Lariats and ONE XL hybrid.

I also agree, deals are out there. Anyone not finding the truck they're looking for at a reasonable price isn't trying hard enough or is just impatient and wants something they can get that day/week.

BTW ultra small local to you is different than local to me. :cwl: The dealership I bought my Maverick from has 6 new Mavericks on the lot, but 5 of those are hybrid. They've probably got 100 or fewer new Ford on the lot in total.

I paid $25K for my 23 Hybrid. I just got an offer on it for $26,400, with 27,000 miles on it now. Since I bought a Ford Flex for rideshare, I really don't need the Maverick now. I'm very tempted. Of course I will keep/sell off most of the accessories I bought for it. What to do?
I think it's crazy this scenario even exists!

With the way our country is going, personally i'd hold onto any owned property. Houses, cars (especially gas), electronics, etc. We don't know what ridiculous regulations may pop up in the next 5-10 years that would inhibit our choices as we know them.
Not saying that we would lose all access to these things, but the economy has a LONG way to go, and with our currency in such a dire state right now you could see major inflation again before things calm down making that truck worth much more than 27k in a couple years.
Even tiny used car lots have cars marked up 2-4k more than they were a few years ago.

IDK I could also be very wrong. I realize that, but I do have a hunch about this, as I did years ago.

I purposely stayed away from AWD and Ecoboost. The Flex is getting 20-21 MPG combined, which is not bad. At least it gets some higher paying XL rides to offset the gas increases. But the Maverick is not that comfy when the seat is slid forward for passenger room. And with my bad knee, the Flex is much better for driver comfort.
Not only do you appreciate the room of the Flex but your passengers 100% do as well.

I always felt the Flex would be a great platform to go BEV. It is so comfortable and drives so smoothly down the road that going EV would take it to another level.

Copy that. 👍
Especially if they have BIG feet. 😁
This is what it looks like for me with my size 14s trying to get out of the back seat with the front seat forward in the picture my heel is actually against the bottom of the seat.
The Chevy Volt was worse.

Hi Colini - If you are interested you can see the inventory by searching for "Encinitas Ford" in Encinitas CA and using the "search inventory" tool refined to "Maverick".

Yeah I submitted my stuff yesterday just for fun. It was $26,000 from Carmax and have a '23 XLat hybrid with 3000 miles.

His price is solid. I'd sell too.

Depends on what's most important to you. If you don't really need the vehicle and can make money on the deal, financially it's a no-brainer. You basically had a free rental vehicle for 27k miles.

Sounds like the flex is the way to go for you if you don't need something with a truck bed.

Personally, I'd sell it in a heartbeat. When I got mine, carvana and others were offering $5k over what I paid. I said to myself if it was $10k I'd sell but it never went any higher.

Does this mean people using rideshare don't always tip?!
1 in 5 or 8 tip on regular rides. Usually $1-$10. On XL rides, about 3 in every 4 tip. Usually $10-$20. Uber uses your tips to balance their ridiculously cheap offers. And then uses those amounts (Usually $22-$30 an hour) to make it sound like a great paying job. After the 67 cents a mile for all auto expense, it works out to $8-$15 an hour during the week after deductible expenses INCLUDING tips. If your expenses are less you get more, but one major repair can really set you back. My area is $15 minimum wage too. $40 airport ride? Uber pays $13 to the driver.
