no they didn't and they didn't have to be forced to correct the issues either by the Feds or class action suits.

Luckily, we don't have to worry about frame rot on our Mavericks. No frame, no rot.
I wonder how the paper thin sheet metal that makes up the uni-body will fair.

Twenty years from now, the Taco will be running. Parts of the Ford will have been melted down (the parts that didn't just rust away into dust) and re-cycled into KIAs. Rust In Peace.
I have towed 1 of every generation excapt the 24s, completely dead with a beat to crap 91-ish comanche.

yes that varies, wife's 2005 Escape was traded in 2020 with one fender hole, nothing structural.
100% outside car.

lol....the very definition of a masochist: picking a miserable vehicle that will last for 20 years.... :ROFLMAO:

Now, to be fair, I have yet to experience the new '24 taco....maybe it's better. The previous version was just God-awful for anything but beating it to death off-road.

Have you had your Taco back to the dealer to replace the rear axle bolts yet, that cause the rear axle to fall out? How about the airbag inflators that spontaneously explode? You know, the ones that Ford replaced 8 years ago, and Toyota was too haughty to admit to using. Those were yet another set of Fed-forced recalls just this month on the Taco.

Yup, those would be the same crap. Except that the problem on these maybe 25 E450 vehicles is that they were replaced long ago and the mechanic didn't do it correctly at a few dealerships. Hence the recall to check them. Ford seems to be getting tighter checking on shoddy dealers than Toyota gets, so I don't know who paid the kickback to ignore the large number of Toyota dealership who can't even rotate tires correctly. Anyway, enough already. You like your Taco, so go use it instead of jawing about how great it supposedly is on a Mav website.

Seeing as the maverick is on lists of most reliable trucks lists, and Tacomas are garbage, I find that hard to believe 😂.

No vehicle line is perfect, but "garbage"? Toyota will be selling Tacomas when the Maverick name is a memory. The original Ford Maverick came and went. Civic, Camry, Accord, Corolla are still here, the "big three" create and then drop names as if it were mandatory.
Ever watch the news? Tacomas cover the planet. Ranger, F150, Ram, Silverado. Nope.
Enjoy it while it lasts. I have a RAV4 in my drive for the day the Ford goes belly up. I bought the Maverick because it was new and different. And disposable.

You should maybe do some research before posting that crap. Maybe start by googling for the result, and maybe read the most-reliable article in Consumer Reports. Then take a look at the Car&Driver articles listing the Mav as the best truck in any category or size. I could keep going, but why?
