Maverick Scarcity

Ordered a 2025 XLT on Jan 3. So I have been carefully watching for Mavericks as I go about daily life. I have not seen one in my area since Jan 3. Seems strange. I live in a suburban county of Atlanta.

I see tons of them here in the Arkansas Ozarks, including city fleet trucks in our little town, pop. ~2000.

Where I live (population of 220,000+), I have about a dozen or two Mavericks. I have seen only one fleet owned Maverick. I am sure more Mavericks will be seen in the next couple of years.

Seeing more in my area in central Viginia. On the way to a dentist appointment this morning, I passed an Azure Gray twin of my Maverick. As I walked out of the dentist's office, a black Tremor was just pulling out of the parking lot. At that point, the only other vehicle in the lot besides mine was a Santa Cruz.

Let me yell about the 2022 maverick drought where you could sell maverick for 33k for xl . It was hard time but that time has passed

just received a flyer from my local Ford Dealer advertising 24 Mavericks under $25k. I paid more than that for my XL 22!!! I would bet if i went over there wouldnt be any in that price range but still.

I'm In Cherokee County In western NC. They are everywhere up here, I mean everywhere.
Both my Local Dealers, King Ford In Murphy and Jackie Jones In Hayesville
each have eight or nine I think. Both have two or three XLT's, Both have three or so Tremors,
I got one of two Lariats, the other dealer doesn't have one of those.
On the road people are buying the XL's, so many of those.
I've seen only two Lariats out on the road, no Tremors yet.
Quite a few people are trading In Rangers.

I test drove a ranger 4x4, Didn't like the Interior space, it felt cramped.
had to stay on top of the handing, it felt tippy.
The price was not reasonable for my wallet. I drove it to please the salesgirl.

On an average day I'm out running errands I see a dozen or more.
I have not yet seen a single 2025 on the roads or on the dealers lots.
They are wheeling and dealing to move the last of the 24's.
I did good on mine.

I wonder If they have any 2025's hidden out back behind the wash rack :'P

I ordered mine last year at king Ford. Got it in six weeks

I live in Macon County WNC (2 counties from Cherokee Co.) and I see them all over the place now. I waited 18 months for the '22 XLT I ordered which was converted to a '23. I ordered one without test-driving it because they were so rare 2 years ago. Now they always have at least one on the lot. Sometimes they have 2 or 3.

I work in Cherokee, NC and there are several Mavericks of all flavors in town, and 4 at the hospital where I work. The plumber in Franklin (where I live) just uses his around town and gets 50+ MPG. I commute 40 miles each way to work and get around 40mpg when it's cold and 44mpg when it's warmer. My Mav feels bigger than my old Ranger ('80) and way bigger than my '07 Tacoma 4door. It was worth the wait, even though the process was frustrating and long.

If you went over there you wouldn't be able to leave with a '24 no matter the price. They can't sell them until there's a fix for the camera recall.

You can still get a '24 Lariat, if there are any still available. They are not in the camera recall.

I also got a '24, before the recall. My camera is also fine. But Ford dealers cannot sell the trucks until there's a fix for the recall and the trucks have been fixed.

Even though I see zillions of Mavericks on the road around and in Asheville - all over WNC really - I see no inventory on the lot at Asheville Ford (I was down there last week), and haven't for ages. They have a handful of Mavericks on the lot - all "sold" customer orders. They have plenty of Mavericks on their website - but all 31 appear to be incoming customer orders.

It's insanely popular out here in the countryside. But it's a head scratcher to me that production hasn't caught up with demand by now. I know it's all regional and local, but around here they go out the door as fast as they come in the door. I mean, Ford has built them for three years now, at say an average of 100,000 per year (now 130,000 a year). So that's 300,000+ Mavericks on the street by now? Demand has to flatten at some point?
